NAME: MARAMAG, AYYA M.

COURSE AND YEAR: BSEDMATH-

TASK 1: Based on the discussion on the nature and purposes of the national service
training program and the nature and provisions of the Philippine constitution, how can
you as a student/youth fulfill the challenge of taking charge of the society? Share any
personal experience on how you see yourself giving impact to your family, friends and
society.
The National Service Training Program was established to increase youth civic
consciousness and enable them to contribute to nation-building. Hereby, as a student and a
young person, I can meet the challenge of taking charge of society by simply attempting to
contribute to the achievement of those sustainable development goals, primarily
guaranteeing inclusive and quality education for all. As they say, education is the key to
success, and if I were to be successful by valuing education, I could contribute to social
transformation and at the very least provide one of society's basic needs, which is for every
child to have a right to education, because I am, after all, a future educator.
As a student and a citizen of this country, I have already exercised my right to vote
and it is my way of standing on what is right, and I believe I have had an impact on what we
can gain or swallow in the coming years. Furthermore, during my senior year of high school,
I have engaged with numbers of organizations and remarkably became a student
representative in our community and participated in the school's campaign for academic,
environmental, and social causes. As we all have the right to express ourselves, I believe
that during my tenure, I used the opportunity of being a member of Generation Z to
broaden my leadership by sharing my concerns on whatever available digital platform that I
was accustomed with. I have raised awareness on what is necessary and essential for the
future of the youth and encourage my fellow students to dream on so that they may be a
true hope of tomorrow and be an agent of change and life-long learning.
In terms of the constitution, ignorance can actually kill people, however knowledge
can save you from any type of tragedy. Those who know the law are said to be scarier than
those who know nothing about it. With this statement, I am not suggesting that we should
be aware about the law and use it to degrade and oppress others, but rather that we should
utilize our legal knowledge to advocate and propose for a cause that is exclusively for the
common good. In fact, I always follow our house regulations, school rules, and community
rules; it may seem like easy adherence, but it is a reflection of being a good citizen, as a
student who was digitally savvy and responsible. In connection with this, as a student who
was digitally literate and within reach of the various information online, it is a must to check
facts, be responsible and reasonable in every comment we leave in social media, do not act
as if were beyond the law if in the first place, we are ignorant about its background, clause
and purpose.
Indeed, with the value of education in mind and the determination to achieve a
specific goal, I could overcome the barriers and challenges posed by the changing world to
its society, and I could be a fulfillment itself in upholding the society's need in the future.
