    WRITING 1: TAKING HOLIDAYS NEAR HOME THAN TRAVELLING ABROAD


    When planning holidays, people often consider whether to stay close to home or travel abroad. In my
    view, staying close to home is better than traveling abroad for several reasons.

    Firstly, holidays near home are usually cheaper. Traveling abroad can be expensive due to travel
    costs, accommodations, and other expenses. Staying close to home can reduce the overall cost of the
    holiday and make it more affordable for families or individuals.

    Secondly, holidays near home are better for the environment. Air travel is a significant contributor to
    greenhouse gas emissions, which are a major cause of climate change. By staying close to home, we
    can reduce our carbon footprint and help protect the environment.

    In addition to these reasons, holidays near home can also be a great opportunity to explore our local
    area and appreciate the natural beauty of our own country. It is an opportunity to support local
    businesses and promote tourism in our communities.

    In conclusion, staying close to home for holidays is better than traveling abroad. It is cheaper, better
    for the environment, and an opportunity to explore and appreciate the beauty of our own country. By
    doing so, we can also support local businesses and promote sustainable tourism in our communities.
