PLAYER PROFILE
Tyrese Asante is 20 years old (09/04/2002) and he is 188cm tall. Tyrese Asante is equally adept at
playing with either foot. His jersey number is 2.

His current value according to Transfermarket is €250,000.

PLAYER HISTORY
Tyrese Asante is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a defender for Eerste Divisie club ADO
Den Haag.

6
7
DEFENSIVE PHASE
Asante has a good read of the game and is also quick on his feet. The team plays a medium block but
he is a player who could play in a high defensive line as well. He looks a step ahead of his man and
also has the mobility to track the runs of his opponent. He doesn’t look static when passes are played
behind the defensive line. He is premeditative of the passes played and moves along the attacker but
looks a lot quicker which allows him to intercept them.

He doesn’t have a giant frame but has a tremendous leap which allows him to dominate aerial duels.
He is quite agile during 1 v 1 duels which allows him to recover even if he gets beaten. He doesn’t seem
to dominate defensive duels which might be an issue while coming up against stronger opponents.
In a low block, he is brave enough to put his body on the line and makes tackles and challenges when
required but can be a little unconvincing with some of his blocks and clearances.

8
ATTACKING PHASE
Asante is quite comfortable on the ball. He
generally plays on the right side of the defence
or in the middle when playing 3 at the back. He
has a neat first touch and tends to drop as the
last man which allows him to assess his options
up front. He shows good pitch awareness and
that is replicated in his distribution. He has a
wide array of passes and predominantly looks
secure. He does well to keep the ball moving
and often knows his pass when he receives the
ball.

His short passes are crisp and accurate and

hardly fluster when put under pressure. In tight
spaces, he tries to pick the right pass instead
of clearing the ball to safety. He can play
long passes and diagonal balls with the right
elevation and pace. More often than not, he
gets the execution right. He seems like a target
during offensive set pieces and tries to attack
the ball to win his headers. He doesn’t win his
headers convincingly in the opposition box,
nevertheless, he is a threat to the defence.

9
TRANSITIONS
Asante intends to play out from the back and
shows a good variety of passes to catch the
opposition during offensive transitions. He can
release the ball quickly and with precision. He
attempts long balls and diagonal passes which
he can put in the right areas for his teammates
to attack. He doesn’t seem to carry the ball
forward as he often plays as the last man.

Asante shows commitment and involvement

during the defensive transitions. He intends
to drop back or make recovery runs to cover
for the mistakes of his defensive partners. He
generally anticipates danger very well and has
the mobility to cut down forward passes. He can
sometimes be a little weak with his clearances
and duels.

PHYSICAL PROFILE
Asante stands at 188 cm and has a relatively lean physique. He is a little weak when competing in
defensive duels and needs to show more conviction while clearing crosses and passes.

He has the pace to track or mark the runs of his opponent. His anticipation is good and also looks
mobile enough to change his direction quickly. He tends to dominate in the air with the excellent leap
that he gets.

He is a two-footed player.

PLAYER PROFILE
Kuryu Matsuki is 19 years old (30/04/2003) and he is 180cm tall. Kuryu Matsuki prefers to play with
his left foot.

He is a versatile midfielder who can play as No 8 and also as an attacking midfielder.

He is currently valued at €700,000.

PLAYER HISTORY
Kuryu Matsuki is a Japanese footballer currently playing for FC Tokyo.

16
17
DEFENSIVE PHASE
He largely chose to stay higher up the pitch and thus was not that involved in defensive duties. He was
one of the team’s best-attacking outlets.

Despite this, he did drop back and helped to defend during opposition attacks. He put in good
challenges to win the ball back and was successful often, but this did not look like his strongest suit.

18
ATTACKING PHASE
Matsuki was exceptional when in possession
of the ball and looked to constantly create a
goal-scoring opportunity out of every passing
chance. His dribbling ability and quick feet were
standout features of his game. Looked versatile,
but was most comfortable when deployed in a
wider role.

He was excellent in the number 8 role, his

passing range is quite impressive and he plays
some great balls in behind the defensive line.
His passing accuracy in the final third was
exceptional as well, he played some smart
through balls for the strikers.

He can create chances with his longer more

progressive passes but looks most likely to
provide an assist with his set-piece delivery.
He likes to whip in his crosses at pace into
dangerous areas and can also follow clever set
routines to catch the opposition off guard.

19
TRANSITIONS
He was a live wire going forward and was one
of the team’s most dangerous players in their
attacking transitions. He was very quick in
changing gears and used his pace well to move
the ball forward during counter-attacks.

He was involved in the defensive transitions

but not as much as he was when it came to the
offensive transitions. He tracked back well and
looked capable of covering for his teammates,
often using his bursts of pace to fall back into
vacant spaces. He also put in robust challenges
to try and win the ball back, often helping to
start counterattacks by retrieving possession.

PHYSICAL PROFILE
Matsuki is 180cm tall and has a lean physique. He shows good strength and balance to shrug off
challenges but can show more physicality in defensive duels.

He is not the quickest or fastest but plays with good intensity and is always on the move.

He is also not the greatest in the air although he is willing to challenge for headers consistently.

PLAYER PROFILE
Shakhboz Umarov is a 23-year-old left-winger who currently plays for Ordabasy in the Kazakhstan First
Tier.

He is a right-footed player but can use his left foot when needed. He predominantly operates on
the left side and can contribute in the final third consistently. His work ethic is quite good and looks
capable of playing in a high-intensity team.

He has a market value of €400,000.

PLAYER HISTORY
Umarov started his career at Tashkent and has played for a few other clubs in Uzbekistan, Belarus and
Kazakhstan. He recently joined Ordabasy for a fee of €50,000.

25
26
DEFENSIVE PHASE
Umarov is not a natural defender but he looks committed going into challenges. Occasionally, he
goes in early and gets beaten but he is well covered by his teammates. He has the willingness to close
down the opposition and win back possession aggressively and certainly has the potential to be a part
of a high-intensity press.

He has good acceleration and can change directions quickly which allows him to intercept passes on
the flank. His speed allows him to win those 50-50 battles in the attacking half. His technique while
making a tackle did not look right and that is one aspect which he needs to work on.

27
ATTACKING PHASE
Umarov has an energetic presence and is
always keen on making those runs down the
left flank to support his team in attack. He looks
comfortable on the ball and aids the build-
up play by linking up with his midfielders
effectively.

He indicates his ability to work his way around

tight spaces and under pressure by sustaining
possession. He has the pace to take on players
in 1 v 1 situations and can beat them on the
inside as well as the outside. His body balance
is excellent and generally withstands the
challenges from the opposition while driving
forward.

He gets into the final third consistently to

deliver crosses using either of his foot. He
generally puts them in the right areas for his
teammates to attack. When he tries to play
incisive passes, his idea looks right but seems
to lack execution. His set-piece deliveries are a
constant threat and unsettle the defence. He is
willing to attempt shots from range but needs
to get better conviction behind his efforts. He
did get into several goal-scoring positions and
did get away shots with minimal touches.

28
TRANSITIONS
Umarov looks lively during offensive transitions.
Shows good intent and is always looking to run
past defenders and put in good crosses for his
strikers. He is also comfortable striding forward
with the ball to exploit the space offered as
well. He generally initiates attacking moves by
indulging in the build-up phase and making a
quick supporting run forward.

Umarov is committed and involved during

the defensive transitions. He shows a good
willingness to track back and has the pace to
match his opponent stride for stride. Despite not
winning his duels consistently, he has the right
attitude to close down his man by indulging in
the counter-press.

PHYSICAL PROFILE
Umarov stands at 182 cm and has an athletic frame. He looks very commanding while indulging in 1
v 1 duels. He is quick and mobile, covering good ground in both halves.

He has a good change of pace and agility which aids his primary as well as secondary tasks. He has a
good work rate and can play at a high intensity throughout the 90 minutes.

He is a right-footed player.

PLAYER PROFILE
Mihael Kupresak is a 21-year-old left-back who plays for Siroki Brijeg in the Bosnia First Tier.

He is a left-footed player with an attacking mindset. He looks like a modern-day full-back but there is
scope for improvement in his defensive game.

He has a current market value of €350,000.

PLAYER HISTORY
Kupresak came through the ranks of Osijek and played for their second team before joining his current
club Siroki Brijeg on a free transfer in 2022. His contract expires in the summer.

35
36
DEFENSIVE PHASE
Kupresak has a good sense of defensive
positioning and never really got caught out of
position. He maintains the back line very well
and looks mobile enough to cope with the
movement of his opponent. He has the pace
and looks able to enough to track back or make
recovery runs. At times, his anticipation looked
a little poor due to which he did get caught out
of position on a few occasions.

Kupresak looks committed in 1 v 1 duels,

particularly in the wide areas. He is willing to
pounce on any loose touch from the opposition.
With his tendency to lunge into tackles, he can
be seen struggling against skilful opponents
for a simple drop of the shoulder. Even though
he lost out on most 1 v 1 situations, he can be
seen showing the intent and quick reactions to
be able to recover.

Kupresak had a decent aerial presence. He is

willing to attack the ball and generally gets a
good leap on his jump. The outcome can be
mixed nevertheless, his intent to disrupt his
opponent with his physicality did make an
impact. His positioning inside the box looks
good while defending crosses and gets good
distance on his clearances as well.

37
ATTACKING PHASE
Kupresak has the constant urge to provide
width down the left flank and generally prefers
to occupy a slightly higher position. He looks
composed on the ball with a neat first touch and
the ability to keep the ball close to him in tight
spaces. He looks good with his distribution and
has the vision to spot the forward runs of his
attackers. Can play long and diagonal passes to
release his forwards behind the back line. His
link-up play and overlapping runs look good
and that allows him to get on the ball in the
final third.

With an attacking mindset, he is constantly

willing to drive forward with the ball from the
flank. He is a promising dribbler who combines
pace and skill to beat his man in 1 v 1 situations
to go on the inside or outside. Gets into crossing
positions regularly and has the technique to
put his deliveries into dangerous areas.

38
TRANSITIONS
Kupresak looks lively during the offensive
transitions as he is quick to get forward and
stays close to the touchline to spread the back
line which helped his team to create pockets of
space through the channels. Looks dynamic in
terms of his ball-carrying ability and supporting
runs as he often gets past opposition lines.
His range of passes helps his team catch the
defence off guard as well.

Kupresak generally shows a good position

and game awareness during the defensive
transitions. His pace and mobility are the
key features of his game which allows him to
cover the space offered behind him. Although,
he needs to show a little bit more patience in
the wide areas while indulging in tackles and
challenges.

39
PHYSICAL PROFILE
Kupresak stands at 178 cm and has a lean physique. He looks competent and aggressive while
indulging in duels and shows good strength to win his tackles as well.

For a left-back, his work ethic looks promising and is willing to make runs up and down the pitch
consistently. He is decent in the air for his height and likes to attack the ball with conviction.

He is a left-footed player.

PLAYER PROFILE
Sandro Kulenovic is a 23-year-old striker who currently plays for Lokomotiva Zagreb in the Croatian
top flight on loan from Dynamo Zagreb in the same league.

He is right-footed and generally plays as a target man centre forward, as a lone number 9.

He has a current market value of €2,000,000.

PLAYER HISTORY
Kulenovic is a product of the Dynamo Zagreb academy and has been on loan spells to multiple clubs.
He is currently on loan at Lokomotiva Zagreb from Dynamo, till the end of the season.

46
47
DEFENSIVE PHASE
Kulenovic has an excellent work ethic and is
constantly looking to make things happen
for his team, with or without the ball. He is
constantly making runs to come short and
offers options and is willing to chase down lost
causes. He is an effective defender during set
pieces and manages to win his fair share of
headers during crosses and wide free kicks.
He also presses high up the pitch consistently
and drops back to help out when his team look
vulnerable.

48
ATTACKING PHASE
Kulenovic has an excellent first touch with both
feet and chest. He is constantly seen coming
short and linking up the play with accurate first-
time lay offs, with his back to goal. He has the
strength to hold off defenders with his back to
goal and is accurate with his receiving under
pressure. He uses his height to jump for a lot
of aerial duels and does well to help his team
build from long balls, even if he does not win
all his headers.

Despite his large frame, Kulenovic is fairly agile

and has the close control required to work
his way past challenges. He is not necessarily
dominant in 1v1 duels but has the footwork
and agility to turn away from challenges when
closed down. Most of his movement off the ball
is to come short to try and link up the play. He
does look to make forward runs and tries to
attack crosses into the box as well but can make
more incisive runs.

Kulenovic shows good vision and ideas with

his quick first-time lay offs and more ambitious
final passes but does not necessarily have
the ability to play clever final or through balls
from deep. He is a genuine target inside the
box, constantly attacks crosses and is on the
move. He does need to get on the end of more
chances from different avenues but when given
a chance, he has a good shot and can finish with
both feet.

49
TRANSITIONS
Kulenovic can be very effective on the counter
because of his physicality and willingness to
run. He constantly challenges aerial balls from
long clearances and even managed to regain
possession from a few of them. He uses his
pace to make runs into space and can carry the
ball or play quick forward passes. But given
his physical attributes, he can look to retain
possession better from clearances.

Kulenovic generally shows great reactions

after possession is lost, immediately tracking
back to help out defensively. He is willing to
scrap for the ball and puts in challenges in the
midfield. Even if he does get beaten, he shows
good tenacity and energy to carry on applying
pressure. However, there were occasions when
he went to ground after a tackle or generally
looked a little tired and static after a turnover.

PHYSICAL PROFILE
Kulenovic is 190cm tall and has a large muscular frame. He shows good physical strength to hold off
defenders with his back to goal and has the leap to win headers consistently, across the pitch.

Despite his frame, he is fairly agile and has a good top speed once he gets into his stride. He shows
quick footwork on the ball and shows good speed when given space to run.

He also plays with good intensity in all phases of the game.

PLAYER PROFILE
Conrad Wallem is a 22-year-old Norwegian footballer who currently plays for Odds Bk in the Norway
Eliteserien.

He is right-footed and plays a variety of positions like LW, LAMF, LCM or similar positions on the right
as well.

He has a current market value of €500,000.

PLAYER HISTORY
Wallem started off at Tonsberg before joining Arendal and then finally Odds Bk in Jan 2021.

56
57
DEFENSIVE PHASE
Wallem has a high defensive work rate when
it comes to tracking back and helping out. He
is often seen doubling up with his full-backs
against opponents and even makes a decent
number of defensive interventions. He is
generally seen covering the half spaces but is
also willing to go wide to engage opposition-
wide players. He was not the most effective
in the high press and was rarely seen closing
down intensely high up the pitch to win the ball
or force errors. Most of his closing down comes
near the halfway line and he is generally seen
cutting off passing lanes when his teammates
are pressing high.

Wallem is not a great defender 1v1. He tends

to commit himself rather easily and lacks the
strength to physically overpower opponents
when going shoulder to shoulder. He is rather
easily beaten at times and ends up giving away
fouls. On the rare occasions that he stands his
ground, he is more difficult to beat.

58
ATTACKING PHASE
Wallem has good technique and a secure first
touch. He receives the ball under pressure with
great composure and rarely takes a loose touch.
But while receiving along the left, he tends to
receive with his back to goal or turn backwards
often instead of looking to turn forwards which
tends to slow down the move.

He is not a conventional winger and likes the

freedom to roam. He is often seen dropping
back to the LB position as well as receiving
the ball along the left flank higher in the
opposition half. He likes to come infield and
play as an attacking midfielder, getting close
to his striker and stringing passes in the final
third, in between the lines. He is rarely seen
making runs in behind. As he likes to take up
positions infield, he is not seen getting into
crossing positions often although he can curl
the ball in from the left. He is a very clever
passer, puts good weight on his short passes
and has the vision to pick out teammates in
space. He can pierce defence with his through
passes as well as set up teammates to create
shooting opportunities.

He has great ball control and the agility to

make quick turns which makes him difficult to
dispossess. But a lot of his dribbling is deeper
in his own half and can be dangerous when he
looks to take too many touches. He likes to cut
in onto his right foot and find a pass across or
backwards.

He has good size and spring for a winger and is often seen getting into the box to attack crosses.
He has the aerial ability to cause problems for defenders, winning the first header, on quite a few
occasions. He has the instinct to find himself at the right place to get a quick shot on goal from inside
the box. He can look to shoot more from outside the box however.

59
60
TRANSITIONS
Although Wallem does a good job in offensive
transition, he can be more effective and
consistent. He has the pace to make forward
runs in support of his attackers, on and off the
ball. He also has the passing ability and vision
to find the right release after carrying the ball
up the pitch. But there were many occasions
when he turned the wrong way while breaking
and ended up slowing down the move to retain
possession instead of taking advantage of the
counter.

Wallem does put in an effort to get back into

defensive shape but is not necessarily the most
effective or energetic in defensive transition.
He shows decent reactions and gets back into
defensive positions fairly quickly but lacks the
aggression and physicality to counter-press and
break up play further up the pitch.

PHYSICAL PROFILE
Wallem is 180cm tall and has an athletic physique. He is not physically dominant but has a good leap
and is brave to attack aerial balls which makes him quite strong aerially and a genuine target inside
the box.

He is quick, agile and has good pace over distance, with or without the ball. He decent intensity
throughout and constantly drops back to help defensively showing good endurance.

PLAYER PROFILE
Makoto Mitsuta is a 23-year-old winger who plays for Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the J1 League, the top
tier in Japan.

Makoto Mitsuta is a right-footed winger who has very good technical abilities. He is an excellent
dribbler and is very difficult to contain 1v1 because of his explosiveness.

He currently has a market value of €850,000.

PLAYER HISTORY
Mitsuta started his career at the Sanfrecce U18 team and moved to RKO FC early in his career. He went
back to Sanfrecce Hiroshima on a loan in 2021 before making the deal permanent in 2022.

67
68
DEFENSIVE PHASE
Given that Mitsuta is rarely seen defending
deep in his own half, he does not get into
1v1 defensive duels. Most of his tackles and
challenges are higher up the pitch when closing
down. He likes to get tight to his man but does
not always time his tackle well leading to a free
kick or getting beaten.

While supporting his fullbacks, he rarely

dropped deep to double up on opponents.
He was generally positioned near the edge of
the box during defensive set pieces to block
the rebound and help his team break. Most of
his defensive work comes higher up the pitch.
Mitsuta is an excellent presser and is often seen
pressing with high intensity individually. The
aggression and intensity of his press often cause
opponents to hurry their pass or go long instead
of playing out from the back.

69
ATTACKING PHASE
Mitsuta shows good technical ability and has a
secure first touch with both feet. He is often seen
receiving the ball in tight areas under pressure
but does well to turn quickly or receive on the
half turn. Mitsuta likes to play with a free role
and drifts across the frontline to find pockets of
space to operate from. He tends to favour the
left flank but is spotted on both flanks fairly
often. He is clever with his positioning in and
around the box in central areas, often peeling
away or coming short just enough to make
space and receive the ball.

Mitsuta is an excellent dribbler and is

very difficult to contain 1v1 because of his
explosiveness. He has the close control to
create space for himself to shoot in more central
areas but is not as effective when starved of
space. Mitsuta does not have a great volume
of crosses given his tendency to come infield.
He does, however, seem comfortable crossing
with both feet and has the variety to play low-
driven or whipped-in crosses, but needs to
improve his quality. He has a very good shot
on him and can shoot with both feet, although
he is right-footed. He has the ability to get into
goal-scoring positions in and around the box
but needs to get more shots away. He can score
from distance as well as close range when given
the space and time to shoot.

70
71
TRANSITIONS
Mitsuta’s pace makes him very dangerous on
the counter. He is often seen making driving
forward runs, on and off the ball, driving past
defenders when carrying the ball. Despite his
vision and efforts to create chances on the
counter, he does need to improve his final pass
and end product.

Mitsuta shows very good reactions after losing

possession and is often seen immediately
pressing the man in possession, even forcing
errors on multiple occasions. He is not seen
going into many challenges or intercepting
a lot of passes himself but does well to force
errors from the opposition.

PLAYER PROFILE
Zan Vipotnik is a 20-year-old who plays as a centre-forward for NK Maribor in the Slovenia First Tier.

Vipotnik is a right-footed player and looks potent up front in terms of his finishing and has a poacher’s
instinct in the box.

He has a market value of €500,000.

PLAYER HISTORY
Vipotnik started his career at NK Maribor and spent a few seasons on loan at a few other Slovenian
teams. He is currently with his parent club and has a contract till the summer of 2024.

78
79
DEFENSIVE PHASE
Vipotnik has a strong work ethic and a high work rate even during the defensive phases of the game.
He effectively closes in on his opponents by blocking passing lanes and attempting to force the
direction of play.

He has the desire to compete for every loose ball and does very well at putting pressure on defenders
to force them to clear their lines. He did track back on a few occasions but doesn’t necessarily drop
deep to aid his backline.

80
ATTACKING PHASE
Vipotnik has a decent first touch as he does well
to drop deep in order to link up play with first-
time passes. He can still improve his ability in
terms of holding up play as he possesses the
physique to be able to do so. He does have a
good aerial ability and can help the team in the
build-up by flicking long passes into the path of
a teammate.

Vipotnik did not come across as a very prolific

dribbler but he makes good use of his pace to
beat opponents. He shows smart movement to
receive the ball in wider areas while also having
the awareness to make runs into spaces behind
the backline. He positions himself well inside
the box to get in between spaces between
defenders to receive from both sides.

Vipotnik demonstrated a strong goalscoring

instinct inside the box and sensed scoring
opportunities and was quick to get into those
positions. He does have good finishing abilities
but can be more clinical inside the box. He also
showed the ability to create chances for his
teammates by playing quick wall passes to set
the ball for a teammate.

81
TRANSITIONS
He was quick to react in offensive transitions and
showed good movement in these situations.
He showed good speed to get away from his
marker in counterattacks and is quick to make
a forward run. He often looks to make well-
timed runs into spaces behind the opposition’s
backline. Vipotnik also attempted several runs
into wider areas of the pitch to lure a defender
out of position.

Vipotnik makes good use of his athleticism in

defensive transitions to aggressively counter-
press and win the ball in the attacking third. He
reacts well to turnovers and was quick to track
back with an opponent if he had the opportunity
to apply pressure on them or try to nick the ball
from their feet. He demonstrates a desire to
track back with runners and was not afraid to
make tackles in order to regain possession.

PHYSICAL PROFILE
Vipotnik stands at 186 cm and has an athletic physique. He looks strong when competing in offensive
and defensive duels. He has enough pace and looks mobile but is not very agile in terms of quick
directional changes.

He has a decent aerial presence and is committed while challenging in the air. His work rate is the
stand-out feature of his defensive game where he is willing to press and counter-press the defence to
force a mistake out of them.

He is a right-footed player.

PLAYER PROFILE
Osame Sahraoui is a 21-year-old (11/06/2001) right-footed left-winger.

The Norwegian-Moroccan currently plays for SC Heerenveen in the Eredivisie, the top tier of the
Netherlands.

He is a dynamic winger who can play between the lines or outside, where his dribbling ability and
creativity stands out in every zone of the field where he can be in contact with the ball. His explosiveness
and unpredictability makes him a really exciting player.

His current value on Transfermarkt is €2,000,000.

PLAYER HISTORY
Before joining the big youth academy of Valerenga in 2014, where he developed as a young footballer
until 2019, he was training at the academy of Hauketo IF. He made his professional debut with
Valerenga, being a key part of them in the Eliteserien, especially last season.

SC Heerenveen signed him permanently for €1,700,000.

88
89
DEFENSIVE PHASE
Osame Sahraoui is an intense defensive player. In high pressing, he is a player who recognizes where
to run and measures well how to use energy on certain occasions.

When his pressure line is overcome, he is active to come back and chase the opponent with the ball,
exerting a counter-press after turnovers that is also very dynamic.

On the other hand, his discipline to help his teammate on the side is positive. He looks to avoid 2v1
situations against his teammate and can even drop down to the penalty area to offer support with a
clearance.

Good technique and timing for his tackle, although a still-developing muscular physique.

90
ATTACKING PHASE
He is a dribbler by nature. Dynamic with and
without the ball. When he releases the ball he
offers intense moves to keep combining with
his teammates.

He alternates between receiving to the foot and

in space, but can move in-out and vice versa,
thus dragging rival players and moving the
rivals’ lines, doing it with a lot of verticality to
push them back and nearer to their goal.

He is also brave to receive in tight spaces,

looking to appear between the lines where he
later drives into the penalty area.

His dribbling technique is complex to defend.

His low centre of gravity gives excellent
elasticity to his hip which allows him to turn
quickly. In static and running he has a high
level of ball control. He has a range of solutions
in small spaces of great variety. He mixes body
gestures and fast bicycles with both feet or one
foot, as well as steps and rolls the ball with
futsal principles.

He has great intelligence to team up with

teammates generating 1-2 combinations.
However, he is a player who needs to understand
when he should release the ball, after carrying
he retains a lot and needs to get rid of it before.
He possesses a great shot with both legs which
makes him unpredictable for scoring, as well as
for 1v1 duels.

91
92
TRANSITIONS
In the attacking transitions, he’s very threatening
with his runs to space. He goes from wide to
the inside, running behind the defenders or
mixing movements as well in the blind eye of
the defenders, normally attacking the FB-CB
spaces.

In the defensive transitions, he’s energetic and

dynamic to come back and run to rearm the
block, as well as to follow rivals with the ball to
tackle them. He is disciplined and committed to
tracking back.

PHYSICAL PROFILE
He has a lean build, a low height of 170cm, and a lean lower body that needs to keep developing in
musculature to be better in physical duels, as his lower body isn’t that strong.

Nonetheless, he’s a very energetic player with great stamina.

PLAYER PROFILE
Carlo Holse is a 23-year-old (02/06/1999) midfielder.

The Danish currently plays for Rosenborg in the Eliteserien, the top tier of Norway.

He is a midfielder capable of distributing and managing his team’s possessions, as well as being
creative and elegant to break blocks down with his left foot and high IQ.

His current value on Transfermarkt is €2,500,000.

He has already been called up for Denmark’s National Team, waiting for his first appearance.

PLAYER HISTORY
Holse started developing as a young footballer inside the youth ranks of Denmark’s academies such
as Boldklubben 1903, before leaving to Kobenhavn in 2015.

In 2019 he lived a short experience out on loan with Esbjerg, before leaving for Rosenborg after they
paid up to €500,000 for him.

98
99
DEFENSIVE PHASE
Holse is a player with a good defensive profile. He understands how to act in different positions in this
phase.

He can defend both inside and outside, as a winger or as a midfielder, but also as an attacking
midfielder pressing the rival #6 without letting him turn the game.

He knows how and when to press. Despite not seeming like he carries intensity in his pursuits, he is
an intelligent player to guide the pressure towards the traps that Rosenborg executes to steal the ball
there.

He has a great smell to activate triggers and surprise opposing receivers by anticipating passes. His
physique still needs to be stronger.

100
ATTACKING PHASE
He is a midfielder with a high aesthetic and
intelligence range in each of his executions.
He has a great understanding of how to act
off the ball for his team. He plays between the
lines, activating different spaces on the field,
even contributing on the outside where he
offers excellent cross-execution with the correct
weight and curve.

He is mobile when he has the ball and when

he releases it, he looks to play with a teammate
and then accompany. He has no problem going
inside out or vice versa. When he has freedom
his creativity is unstoppable. His left foot stands
out above the rest. In tight spaces, he makes
everything simpler. He uses cuts and changes
his pace from micro to macro-runs, with various
touches on the ball.

He handles both profiles, he doesn’t feel

uncomfortable on the right side with his left
foot, and the skill and technique he has been
very high. Top body gestures that allow him
to evade and always create a better angle for
passing or executing a cross/finish. Aggressive
to activate the penalty area and get a shot like
another striker, also patient and conscious to
release balls with deep passes, either attacking
the middle of the defence or to the outside,
giving excellent balls to his wide teammates so
that they can send dangerous crosses.

He coordinates the tempo and manages his

team’s possessions, even going down to the

through short combinations in which he then
looks to attack the free spaces.

PLAYER PROFILE
Lukasz Lakomy is a 22-year-old central midfielder who plays as a defensive midfielder or playmaker in
position 8 with a box-to-box profile.

He is a player with a very good long-range shot and high-quality crosses from the depth of the field.

The current market value of the player is €1,000,000. The contract runs until the summer of 2024. He
is a current player for the U21 national team.

PLAYER HISTORY
Lakomy started his career at the Legia Warsaw Academy. For two years he has been representing
Zagłębie Lubin from the Polish Ekstraklasa (Tier 1).

138
139
DEFENSIVE PHASE
Lukasz Lakomy tries to follow the game after the ball. He reads the game skillfully and is focused
mainly on defensive play and skilful transfer of the ball in the transitional phase.

When the opponent’s action takes place 20-30 meters from his own goal, he tries to take a skilful
position in the middle of the field to limit the possibility of a perpendicular pass between defenders.
Lakomy does this very well.

When the ball is moved by the rival to the wing, Lakomy takes a place in the defence to limit the
possibility of an effective cross to the opponent’s striker.

140
ATTACKING PHASE
Lakomy is a talented midfield player who
resembles Steven Gerrard in his style of play.

He rarely participates in the offensive phase,

because his primary goal in the game is to play
the ball and effectively initiate the transition
phase.

He is a player who rarely engages in the

offensive phase and when he does, he usually
initiates the offensive action through a cross
from the deep of the field or a shot from
distance.

His passes are very strong and accurate, and

the receiver is mainly a winger or a fast striker
participating in the counter-attack.

The player usually moves in the offensive phase

in the space of 20-30 meters from the rival’s
goal, being focused on a possible shot from a
distance.

141
TRANSITIONS
Lukasz Lakomy moves in the space between his
team’s penalty area and the rival’s penalty area,
skilfully securing sectors in the middle of the
field.

When receiving the ball from his team, Łakomy

takes the space in front of his own penalty area,
waiting for the central defenders to receive
the ball, or securing the space against the
opponent’s perpendicular pass.

Lakomy, after recovering the ball for his team,

usually chooses two solutions:

If he is in front of his own penalty area, he tries

to transfer the game to a better-positioned
partner with a short pass from the first ball.

If a player sees a well-positioned partner in the upper sector of the game, he makes a long cross pass
to the winger.

PHYSICAL PROFILE
Lukasz Lakomy is of medium height. He is 181 cm. He is a football player of normal build with good
muscles.

Lakomy plays very well with his body. Effectively receives the ball with close duels.

He is also a player who performs passes with both the right and left foot with high efficiency.

PLAYER PROFILE
Eduard Sarapiy is a 23-year-old Ukrainian footballer who plays as a defender for SK Dnipro-1 in the
Premier Liga, which is the highest tier of Ukrainian football.

Sarapiy is predominantly right-footed and was often deployed as a right-sided center back, but looked
capable of playing as a defensive midfielder as well.

He has a current market value of €1,000,000.

PLAYER HISTORY
Sarapiy came through the ranks of Dynamo Kyiv, before moving to the MFK Metalurg. He then made
the move to Metalist and is currently on loan at SK Dnipro-1.

148
149
DEFENSIVE PHASE
Sarapiy was solid with his overall defensive efforts and looked to cover a large area of the pitch. He
was competent with his 1v1 duels and often does an excellent job of restricting his man when turning
away.

Sarapiy also seemed composed when facing opposition movement inside his box and stood his
ground well against quicker opponents, while also putting a foot in when needed. He made a healthy
number of blocks and interceptions in the area as well and seemed to be a dependable figure.

He showed a strong sense of awareness and managed to effectively use this during the side’s
transitions. He was capable of picking out the run of a teammate from deep while also seeming alert
of opposition runners.

Sarapiy also does well to provide cover for his teammates at the back and was eager to shift into
vacant spaces in the area when facing opposition attacks. He was also aware enough to mark different
opponents accordingly and handles almost everything the opposition threw at him.

150
ATTACKING PHASE
Sarapiy stuck to playing simple passes at the
back and seemed to be very secure when
doing so. He rarely put his teammates under
pressure when playing these passes and looked
composed when having to get on the ball under
pressure.

However, Sarapiy never really looked capable of

playing out from the back and failed to put the
right pace on his pace that would help to build
up attacking momentum from deep. Despite
this, he showcased a solid long passing range
and managed to pick out teammates.

Sarapiy almost never tried to carry possession

forward on his own and looked more adept at
passing the ball out. He did look competent
when moving the ball under pressure but
never really looked to take on opponents inside
his half.

Standing at a fairly solid height of 186cm,

Sarapiy was a competent figure during the
side’s set pieces as he constantly looked to rise
over his marker when inside the opposition
box. He does well to time his leaps and often
managed to make clean contact with the ball
while also looking capable of hitting the target
from range.

151
TRANSITIONS
Sarapiy was a silent yet vital part of the side’s
offensive transitions and looked to be the
first person to get on the ball during these
phases. He was secure with his passes to retain
possession during such transitions while also
looking eager to create passing outlets for the
team.

He also showcased an excellent long passing

range that helped to both distribute possession
into the flanks during counterattacks and pick
out the run of a teammate with overhead balls
into the final third.

Sarapiy took up strong positions during the

side’s defensive transitions and often looked to
move into vacant spaces when facing opposition
attacks. He did seem capable of stepping off his line to make challenges, while also looking diligent
when having to track back.

Sarapiy was not the quickest but showcased a decent recovery pace using his long strides, while also
looking to cover the wider areas of the pitch. He made some strong tackles and managed to win back
possession cleanly.

PHYSICAL PROFILE
Sarapiy put his height to good use and often managed to intercept most of the aerial balls that were
playing into his area. He also showcased a strong leap when going into aerial duels and managed to
easily outleap his man while also putting a decent length on his headed clearances.

He possessed a muscular build and an athletic frame to go along with it which aided his mobility
on the pitch. He was able to cover large areas of the pitch with ease and showcased a good sense of
positioning.

Sarapiy was not very quick but did look formidable during his recovery run, largely due to his long
strides and excellent positioning. He was very strong however and showcased good physical grit when
doing into a duel.

PLAYER PROFILE
Vangelis Pavlidis is a 24-year-old Greek striker who is currently playing for AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie,
the top tier in the Netherlands.

He was ambidextrous and looked comfortable using both his feet. He also looked capable of playing
as a left winger or an attacking midfielder. Pavlidis is a current full Greek international.

Pavlidis has a current market value of €7,500,000.

PLAYER HISTORY
Pavlidis is a product of the Vfl Bochum academy, having come up through their ranks. He then had a
loan stint with B. Dortmund II before moving to Willem II in the 19/20 season. He was then picked up
by AZ in the 21/22 campaign.

159
160
DEFENSIVE PHASE
Pavlidis did seem to restrict most of his defensive actions to within the opposition half and seemed to
be more prominent when inside the final third. He rarely tracked back and looked to hold a high line
instead, often trying to press opposition players inside their half.

Pavlidis was excellent when it came to his press and showcased a solid level of intensity here. He was
quick to close down opposition defenders when trying to play out from the back and made some
excellent interceptions in the process, while also managing to convert these into goal-scoring chances
for the side.

161
ATTACKING PHASE
Pavlidis was a prolific goal scorer and constantly
looked to finish off the chances that came his
way. He often used his first touch to set up the
shot and looked to possess a variety of finishes
in his arsenal. He made some excellent late
runs into the box while also looking capable of
creating space for himself in tighter areas.

Pavlidis had a knack to get into vacant spaces

and lose his marker when on the move as this
helped him to constantly get into threatening
areas. He also showcased good awareness to
set up teammates with simple cutback or quick
reverse passes in the area.

He was a decent dribbler and used his agile

nature to beat his first marker. Despite this,
Pavlidis does need to do a better job of carrying
possession forward as he showed a tendency to
lose it soon. Pavlidis does shield the ball well
though and drew in some solid freekicks in the
process.

Pavlidis looked to be often stationed in a two-

man system and had the positional awareness
to constantly switch with his partner, thus
making it hard to mark them upfront. He also
drifted wide now and then but never seemed to
be very prolific when doing so.

162
163
TRANSITIONS
Pavlidis was a lively figure during the side’s
offence and his off-ball movement enabled
the side to quickly play the ball forward here.
He also seemed capable of carrying possession
forward on his own and does well to link up
play with his teammates inside the final third
when needed. He also does well holding up
possession when needed and does an excellent
job of retaining the ball here.

Pavlidis also looked to be heavily involved

during their defensive transitions and does well
to press in a high line. He was energetic when
closing down opponents and managed to nick
the ball away multiple times in the process.

PHYSICAL PROFILE
Standing at a fairly solid height of 186cm, Pavlidis was strong in the air and showcased this during the
side’s set pieces. However, he can still do a better job of timing his jumps when going into heading a
delivery.

Pavlidis seemed to possess a lean physique but does look strong when on the ball. He also managed
to shrug off pressure with ease and had the body balance to stay on his feet here.

Pavlidis did showcase good bursts of pace but seemed to be more reliant on his agile frame when
carrying the ball. He also has an excellent reserve of energy and stamina that helped to play at a high-
intensity level across an entire game.

172
ATTACKING PHASE
Boey is a constant support in the build-up
phases, offering himself on the wide right and
showing a good first touch to match his ball
control. He always looked to move the ball
away from the opponent with his touch and
succeeded often.

As he progressed towards the advanced zones,

he continuously supported the attack, although
with a low overlapping frequency but constantly
provided a passing option and overloading the
right flank. He played through balls down the
flank and played several inballs as well at fast
speed into the feet of the striker.

Although his crosses weren’t mostly with a high

trajectory towards the 6-yard box, he preferred
to drive towards the byline and cut back more
often. Most of his crosses while entering the
offensive third were driven low, and he also
looked to drive infield with the ball.

173

offensive runs and quickly moves to an advanced

behind the defensive line.

to counterpress and singled out the opponent

pressing, as he often closed down angles for
passes.

He showed good speed with or without the ball and was quick to react to a loose ball or change of
possession.

He is athletic and shows the strength to shrug wingers off and dominate them. Also shows good
energy levels for constant movement.

their U-20 side and their second team. He later moved on to Argentinos Juniors in 2021 where he is
currently playing.

191
192
DEFENSIVE PHASE
Moyano constantly attempts to contest the ball or impede passing routes during the defensive portion
of the game.

He chases after the ball immediately and makes excellent tackles when he loses the ball. Moyano
consistently puts his body on the line to battle for the ball. He challenges opponents that are
considerably bigger than him.

With his all-action game style, he can make excellent tackles and strives to shut the pocket areas that
are opening up.

He works hard and can provide enough for the team to win the game.

193
ATTACKING PHASE
Moyano is an excellent defensive midfielder
with exceptional dribbling abilities. He is the
team’s energy source and the foundation upon
which units are constructed.

Moyano is adept at making fast short passes and

accurate long passes to his teammates. However,
he loves to keep things straightforward and
would instead offer fewer Hollywood passes
than more.

Getting him off the ball is challenging because

of his close-control dribbling. Although he does
not provide a goal or an assist, he enjoys working
for it in the centre of the field. Although he is
not a strong ball presser, his deft positioning
and mobility allow him to do well in the middle.
In addition, he always tries to find his midfield
partners with his passing.

Moyano can be an excellent holding midfielder

who manages the game’s speed and
accomplishes just enough in the middle of the
park.

194

to. However, he can repel most opponents due
to his physical presence.

He relentlessly engages opponents, and there

stature.

He is physically capable of controlling the midfield on his own, and he is capable of competing with
the majority of opponents. Furthermore, Moyano has the stamina and motivation to hold down the
middle of the field for the whole game.

Moyano is a highly mobile player who can do well in central areas with high mobility and excellent
game reading.

PLAYER PROFILE
Jhon Arias is a 25-year-old (Sep 21, 1997) Columbian professional footballer who plays as an attacking
midfielder for Fluminense.

The Brazilian midfielder started his career in Italy and has played in multiple countries like Mexico
and his native Columbia before reaching Fluminense in Brazil.

He is a right-footed midfielder who usually plays as an attacking midfielder. But he can also be
deployed as a left-midfielder.

He displayed neat touches and clean footwork to escape his first defender and did well to complete
his dribble by playing the right pass.

His current value on Transfermarkt is € 7,000,000.

PLAYER HISTORY
Arias started his career in Italy and has played in multiple countries like Mexico and his native
Columbia. He is currently playing for Fluminense in Brazil.

201
202
DEFENSIVE PHASE
Arias participates in the game’s defensive phase very seldom, most of the time. On the other hand,
he is reliable in his tackles and moves quickly to recover the ball if he loses it. Arias is willing to put
his safety in danger, even though he does not constantly battle for possession of the ball. As a direct
consequence of this, he fights more often with his adversaries.

His all-action playing style allows him to make solid tackles, and he works hard to close any pockets
opening up in the opposing defence. As a result, Arias can mount a few challenges directly, even
though his defensive work rate might be improved.

203
ATTACKING PHASE
Arias is a fantastic midfielder with great ball
control and excellent dribbling abilities. In
addition to that, he brings a lot of flair and
uniqueness to the middle of the field.

Arias can make accurate long and fast short

passes to his teammates, but he still has to
improve his accuracy and the results of his
passes. Nevertheless, he enjoys keeping
everything simple and is always happy to
provide more free passes. In addition, he always
tries to find his forward players with his passes.

Because of his close-control dribbling, winning

possession of the ball from him might be
challenging. On the other hand, he takes
pleasure in moving closer to the target in the
middle of the field. His clever positioning and
agility enable him to perform effectively in
the centre, even though he could be a more
powerful ball presser.

204
205
TRANSITIONS
Transferring the ball to Arias is relatively easy
since he is a good player. He moves swiftly and
with an impressive degree of agility.

Since there is no fear in his game, he often

confronts opponents. In addition, he has no
fear when engaging in a struggle for control of
the ball when he owns it.

Once he loses possession, Arias quickly regains

his position. He possesses a great first touch
and can take control of games from the centre
of the field.

Arias’s outstanding passing accuracy is a

challenge for the opponent. This makes Arias a
potential menace. In addition, he can take part
in high-intensity and high-energy games, although he demands more significant defensive effort
from his teammates.

PHYSICAL PROFILE
Arias, with a height of 168 cm, is very weak in aerial duels.

He needs help to control the midfield and hold his own against most opponents. In addition, Arias
possesses the stamina and motivation to hold down the midfield for the whole game.

Arias can perform well with his positioning and comprehension of the task since he is highly agile,
moves quickly, and accelerates well.
