    LESSON 2: 21st CENTURY SKILLS OF A LEARNER

    21st century skills refer to the knowledge, life skills, career skills, habits, and traits that are
    critically important to student success in today’s world
    LEARNING SKILLS
    Mental processes required to adapt and improve upon a modern work environment.
     Critical Thinking
    It is the practice of finding solution to a problem.
     Creativity
    It is the practice of thinking outside the box.
     Collaboration
    It involves working with others.
     Communication
    Conveying ideas quickly and clearly.
    LITERACY SKILLS
    Sometimes called IMT skills, and they’re concerned with a different element in digital
    comprehension.
     INFORMATION LITERACY
    It helps students understand facts, especially data points, that they’ll encounter online.
     MEDIA LITERACY
    is the practice of identifying publishing methods, outlets, and sources while
    distinguishing between the ones that are credible and the ones that aren’t.
     TECHNOLOGY LITERACY
    technology literacy goes another step further to teach students about the machines
    involved in the Information Age.
    LIFE SKILLS
    Also called FLIPS, these skills all pertain to someone’s personal life, but they also bleed into
    professional settings.
     FLEXIBILITY
    is the expression of someone’s ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
     LEADERSHIP
    motivating team and working together in order to achieve common goal.
     INITIATIVE
    requiring students to be self-starters.
     PRODUCTIVITY
    It refers to their efforts and ability to perform efficiently in their studies.
     SOCIAL SKILLS
    allows students to communicate, relate to, and connect with other people.
