Some people claim that children should receive praise or gifts for good behavior, and they
should also be receive punishment for bad behavior. However, physical punishment refers to
inflicting harm or discomfort as a result of child misbehavior that affects both the child's body
and social interactions as well as their psychology health.
First and foremost, children 's mental illness suffers when they are physically punshied by their
parents. Many parents may use physical punishment to express their disapproval to their kids, to
uphold their authority, or just out of habit, in order to stop children 's aggressive behavior. The
majority of children who were physically abused suffer from either short- or long-term negative
effects. One of the most prevalent effects is that children can have some mental problems
including depression, personality disorders and intellectual disabilities, when they were
physically punished in childhood.
Second, physical punishment has serious physical effects on children's bodies. The child will
experience discomfort, medical issues, and in severe cases, as a result of physical harm. The
severity of the injuries or any permanent harm depends on the child's age when it is injected.
Seizures, blindness or deafness that lasts a lifetime, paralysis, mental and developmental delays,
and, of course, death can all result from physical abuse of children. Regardless of age, the effect
of physical punishment on a child increases with time.
Last but not least, physical punishment has a negative impact on children's social communication
skills. Most of them find it challenging to strengthen a long-lasting friendship that they can
value. Children who have experienced long-term abuse lack fundamental social skills and are
unable to interact with others in a natural way like other kids; moreover, they may have a
difficulty in trusting others. The social repercussions of physical abuse of children continue to
have a negative impact on the abused child's adult life.
In conclusion, there are three main effects that have a serious negative impact on children in
terms of their emotions, physical influence, and social interaction. To aid in children's
improvement, their parents must refrain from doing certain things.
