1. Do you consider that covid-19 pandemic is a threat to national security? Yes or No, if
yes, what type of threat does the pandemic belong to? and if No, explain your answer.

The CoVID -19 pandemic had affected many aspects of life, such as health, economy,
infrastructure, and education, and worst had doubled the struggles in poverty most especially
among the marginalized group of people. This imposes that Covid -19 has brought a biological
threat, not only to our country but to almost all parts of the world. Since Covid-19 has affected
almost all countries considering aspects such as our economy and our health, it is considered an
Economic and Social threat to our security

2.  As a young college student, what is your role in national security? Enumerate 3, then
briefly explain each of them.
 My prime yet crucial role as a human being in national security is to know my rights.
Knowing my rights means acquiring my right to have my voice and to stand in a
position about political and social life, the right to have a healthy living, the right to
live, and to acquire vital resources such as food, security, and shelter.
 As a young college student, to expand further my social skills, experiences, and
network, it is also my role to join different youth and school organizations. Joining or
volunteering in clubs and organizations helps me to acquire experiences in giving
service to the public and to develop the skills that I needed to acquire for my chosen
discipline. Furthermore, joining clubs also helps us to improve our self-confidence,
effective communication, and social skills through collaboration.
 The youth are encouraged to be aware and vocal about certain issues, either political
or societal. As a youth about to enter adulthood, it is my right to learn about local
issues to help us to stand and create a voice within these issues. Learning about these
issues will drive us, youth volunteers, to innovate solutions, exercise our freedom of
speech, and practice our critical thinking approach towards these issues.

3.  What are your learning points on this topic?

There is much more to learn with the module, from the dimensions of NSTP, about
exercising suffrage, to our role in the threats to national security, but I have gained a general
insight regarding these topics. As early as we are young, we are not limited to exercising
service to the public. We must get immersed in different service training which enables us to
understand what are the needs of our country that needed to provide.

As a youth, it is also important to practice my right to suffrage. Voting for the right person
for a specific position means having hope to have our society a greater change and exhibiting
absolute patriotism for our country.
