As a member of a 5-person project team, designed, prototyped, and tested a custom 4-axis milling machine
for General Electric’s Power Generation Maintenance and Repair Center in Bangor, ME. The milling
machine was designed to improve ergonomics, reduce operator fatigue, and reduce the time required to
remove portions of the blades from a steam turbine diaphragm during repair.
 Designed the machine and sub-assemblies using SolidEdge.
 Manufactured custom components using 3-axis CNC mill. G-code program generated with SurfCAM
and modified by hand as required.
 Several components were made using 3D printed ULTEM resin.
