    Reflection Paper on the 2nd CDSGA Research Gala

    Mt. Balagbag is located in the City of San Jose del Monte in Bulacan. The mountain is 777 meters above
    sea level enough to see the picturesque of Metro Manila and the vast land of the province of Bulacan and
    Rizal. Along the way to Helipad (Mt. Balagbag's highest peak), you can see and visit Kaytitinga Falls.
    Kaytitinga falls is a one of a kind falls located in the City of San Jose del Monte, the falls is a huge, solid and
    layered rock which allows the tourist to enjoy the water from the falls in every layer of the falls. It is also
    possible for the tourist to visit the top of the falls by climbing through the huge rocks which adds excitement
    to your falls' experience.From the Veterans, you will walk for about an hour and a half to get into the
    Helipad, the highest peak of Mt. Balagbag and is 777 meters above sea level. It is the highest peak of the city
    of San Jose del monte and 2nd to the highest peak of the province of Bulacan next to Mt. Oriod which is
    located in the nearby town of Norzagaray.

    This mountain gained its popularity due to cheaper budget needed either you’re a solo hiker or in a group
    and very accessible. Some people dubbed it as “Mt. Pulag of Bulacan” because of its grassy slopes all
    throughout the trail. The trail is very visible and not misleading that’s why getting a tour guide is not
    mandatory. There’s a lot of resting area where you can take a rest, eat your meal (LNT) and take a nap if
    possible. The trail is very exposed to the scorching heat of the sun so better wear a cloth with long sleeves,
    bring a light umbrella, a cap or just a sunblock and enough water supply. Mt. Balagbag is truly one of the
    easiest mountains available for newbies who want to get started with their hiking adventure. The trail is
    simply an uphill walk all the way to the summit. It doesn’t require navigational skills but you would still do
    best to train before even attempting to summit it. Mt. Balagbag is considered as minor climb which trail
    class is 1-2 and difficulty is 3 out of 9. For the first timer in hiking, this mountain fits for you. The trail is easy
    and visible. The only problem is... it's really hot especially during summer. It's almost bare where you can't
    find shades and trees along the trail.

    Research allows you to pursue your interests, to learn something new, to hone your problem-solving skills
    and to challenge yourself in new ways. Working on a faculty-initiated research project gives you the
    opportunity work closely with a mentor–a faculty member or other experienced researcher. Research can
    help us to understand what works and why, what the short and long-term implications are, provide a
    justification and rationale for decisions and actions, help to deal with the unexpected by identifying
    problems, and promotes improvement. Research is important because it allows us to assess and review the
    quality of schools and education. It allows us to for improvement and policy change. It is help to find how
    research affects in your community. It is presents more information for examination. This is allow us for
    improvements based on better information and study.

    Education research is a field of inquiry aimed at advancing knowledge of education and learning
    processes and development of the tools and methods necessary to support this endeavor. The unifying
    purpose for education research is to build cumulative and sound knowledge about human and social process
    of fundamental significance to individuals, to groups, and to the larger society.
