    LESSON PLAN IN VOWEL Aa and CONSONANT Mm and Ss USING MARUNGKO


    APPROACH/EXPLICIT TEACHING

    I. OBJECTIVE:
    At the end of 180 minutes in remedial reading, the grade Ill learners are expected to do the
    following with at least 100% accuracy.
    a. Produce the sound of letter Mm, Aa, and Ss
    b. Recognize the name of letter Mm, Aa, and Ss
    c. Blend the sound of Mm, Aa, and Ss
    d. Recognize the name of objects that starts with the blending sound /ma/, /am/, /sa/,
    /as/

    II. SUBJECT MATTER:


    Blending Consonant-Vowel: m-a, s-a
    Vowel-Consonant: a-m, a-s

    III. MATERIALS:
    pictures, activity sheet, worksheets

    IV. LEARNING EXPERIENCES:


    A. Review:
    Present pictures with name that begin with the letter Mm, Aa, and Ss
    (Emphasis on the beginning sound).
    1. Vocabulary Development Look at the picture.
    Identify the picture.
    Ask: What is in the picture? Ano ang nasa larawan?
    Let the learners give the answer in mother tongue or Filipino, acknowledge it, If
    learners cannot give the answer teachers give the answer.

    I DO- MODELLING
    Look at the pictures that I have here. Listen as I name them.
    Tignan ang mga larawan. Pakinggan habang ito ay aking binibigkas. (only teacher reads the
    word)

    WE DO- GUIDED PRACTICE


    1. Now let’s say the name of each picture. Everybody, repeat after me.
    Ngayon, ating basahin ang mga pangalan ng larawan. (Teacher reads with the pupils)

    Ask:
    A. What is t
    B. he first two sound that you hear with the word (ano ang unang dalawang tunog na
    inyong napakinggan sa salitang ….m-ais, a-so, s-anggol?

    C. Can you say the sound(Bigkasin natin ang dalawang tunog na nasa unahan_)Let’s
    Blend: /m-a/, /a-m/,/ s-a/, /a-s/
    D. Let them repeatedly say each word with emphasis on /m-a/, /a-m/,/ s-a/, /a-s/
    E. Talk about the picture for comprehension.( Pag usapan ang tungkol sa mga larawan
    para sa pang-unawa)
    Ask: Ano ang mais? Ani ang aso? Ano ang susi?
    F. Sila ay mga Panggalan (Noun) ng bagay at hayop na nagsisimula sa timplang letrang
    tunog /m-a/, /a-m/,/ s-a/, /a-s/
    G. Pahintulutin ang mga mag-aaral na magbigay ng panggalan na nagsisimula sa timplang
    tunog (blended letter sound) /m-a/, /a-m/,/ s-a/, /a-s/

    H. Kung ang mga mag-aaral ay nakapag bigay ng sagot sa sariling dyalecto (local dialect)
    tanungin kung ano ang pangalan nito sa tagalog.

    2. Pagbigkas ng timplang tunog. (mauna ang guro sa pagbigkas)
