Role Title: Python Developer

Role Reports to: Director, Enterprise Data & Analytics
Principle Responsibilities:
 Serve as the full stack developer with use of Python and JavaScript for the Azurity Commercial
Excellence and Enterprise Data Warehouse initiatives.
 Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to analyze Azurity’s needs; provide solutions
and user interfaces that meet business data insights and reporting requirements.
 In collaboration with the principal data scientist, develop and maintain Python code in support of
predictive analytics models required for the Azurity Commercial Excellence solution.
 Develop and maintain the JavaScript-based user interface required for the Azurity Commercial
Excellence solution.
 Responsible for maintenance of code repository in Azure DevOps.
 Collaborate with commercial operations, data engineering, and digital (IT) colleagues to create coherent,
efficient solutions.
 Ensure that software development complies with Azurity’s information security and privacy policies.
 Support Azurity’s CI/CD capabilities initiative.
 Activity estimates: Python development: 60%; User interface development (JS): 20%; Other
(documentation / admin): 20%.
Required Educations, Skills, and Experience:

 Bachelor’s degree or above, with preference for computer science, mathematics, or other
quantitative disciplines.
 Innovative and proactive mindset.
 Flexibility and persistence, with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
 Proficient with Python and JavaScript; general expertise with object-oriented programming and batch
scripting.
 Working knowledge with use of Python for predictive analytics and machine learning capabilities along
with related libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Flask, TensorFlow, etc.
 Must have hands-on experience building user interfaces with use of React and Vue components.
 Experience working with container technologies such as Docker.
 Working knowledge of CI/CD.
 Experience working under Agile/Scrum methodologies.
 Experience with use of Azure DevOps and/or Git repositories.
 Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Visio.
 At least two (2) years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience:

 Working knowledge of predictive analytics and machine learning.
 Experience with one or more of the following database platforms: Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Azure
SQL, Synapse.
 Experience with Azure cloud.
 Experience with container orchestration capabilities such as Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
 Data visualization experience with Tableau or Power BI.
 Prior experience working in a lean IT organization where each person must apply diverse skills and
take responsibility for multiple processes and technologies.
