    The story takes place in a forest, where a tricky monkey and smart turtle planted fruit trees. When they returned, the monkey's tree had died while the turtle's flourished. The monkey lied and did not share any fruit with the turtle. The turtle got revenge by tricking the monkey into the water. Other monkeys threw the turtle in too, but it floated back with a lobster. The monkeys asked to learn this and drowned trying to catch lobsters underwater.

    STORY MAP: The Monkey and the Turtle

    Settings

    The story happened one day, in broad daylight in most likely a forest setting.

    Characters:

    1. Monkey - tricky, distrust, liar

    2. Turtle - witty, smart

    Rising action

    When the monkey and the turtle came back for the fruit-bearing trees they've planted, they were
    disappointed to see that the monkey's tree has died but since the turtle cannot climb trees, the monkey
    volunteered. It turns out, he did not share any good fruit with the turtle.

    Climax

    The turtle taught the monkey a lesson but other monkeys saw what happened and they threw the turtle
    in the water without realizing that the turtle can float back, now with a lobster.

    Falling Action

    The other monkeys were surprised by this and so they asked the turtle to teach them how to catch a
    lobster.

    Resolution

    The monkeys followed what the turtle said, they went under water and they never came back again
