Lesson development:
1. Pupils look at the picture in their Student’s Books.
2. Elicit who they can see (the Super Friends) and where they are (next to school notice board).
3. Elicit what they have got on Saturday and Sunday. Check understanding of vocabulary.
4. Play the recording. (CD2 Audio 18)
5. Pupils point to the days when they hear them.
6. Then, they listen and say the words.
7. Distribute worksheets.
8. Say the days.
9. Pupils listen, say the words and colour the corresponding words.
Post-lesson:
1. Students listen and follow the chant in their Student’s Books.
2. Play the recording again, pausing after each verse for students to repeat.
3. Do the chant as a class and then in groups.
4. Make seven groups. Hand out a flashcard to each group.
5. Students do the chant again, holding up the relevant flashcard when they say the day.

1. Distribute task sheets and pictures.
2. Read the names aloud so pupils know what they sound like.
3. Play the recording. Pupils listen carefully, choose and paste the corresponding pictures. (CD2 Track

4. Answers are discussed together.
Activity 2:
1. Play the first sentence. (CD 2 Audio 21)
2. Pupils listen carefully and repeat.
3. Check they understand that it is every Monday and that they say Mondays.
4. Play the second sentence.
5. Pupils listen and repeat.
6. Pupils practise in pairs.
Post-lesson:
1. Display picture cards and write the options for free time activities on the board.
2. Demonstrate the activity first with one or two pupils.
3. High level: Pupils take turns to ask and answer about the different days of the week in groups.
4. Low level: Ask pupils. E.g. What do you do on Tuesdays?
Guide them to answer the questions.
