When you see a task and you get ready to analyse it, always remember to look for
these specific points:

1. What are you going to write about? (topic)


2. What exactly do you have to include in your report? (there are ALWAYS 3
CONTENT POINTS IN THE REPORT!)
3. Who is going to read your report? (what’s the appropriate register/formality)

1. Title/Introduction
2. Explain what you have achieved so far.
3. Describe your problems in this job.
4. Suggest future training.
5. Conclusion/Recommendations

Introduction sample:

The purpose of this report is to evaluate the progress following the first half year in my
