Good morning, everyone! I am Jasmine Aira S. Ciriaco, your speaker for today. An I am here in
front of you to talk about one of the biggest problems of this society, and that is poverty.
We, criminologists. We all know that according to Aristotle, "Poverty is the parent of revolution
and crime" and that is right, because as we can see, there's a lot children that are lack of food to
eat, shelter to stay, and parent to take care of. In that reason, poverty can push those children to
become thief, and criminal, and adopt various criminal behavior, because that is the only way
they see to overcome the hungriness or situation. Sadly, our government can’t do anything about
it, not because they don’t care, but we are also the problem. In one nation, we should not relay
everything from the government, because we, we should start than in ourselves. Everyone should
Because one of the main problem is the insufficient knowledge about right or wrong action or
behavior. Poverty can destroy our very own country and its people.
But how can we change our situation if the government itself is one of the cause of this particular
and complex problem which we are facing today. We've been facing this crisis not just today but
Advocating for policy change, poverty is often the result of this systematic issues such as
inequality, discrimination, and lack of access to resources. You can use your voice and platform
to advocate for policies, you as a student you can contribute to this effort by raising awareness
So, me, as a student I am encouraging all of you to help those who are in need, not giving
money. But either giving them the things that are needed like clothes or foods. I think it is better
to give them those kinds of needs that money, because we can't deny that a lot of kids are using
some kind of drugs. So, instead of giving them money, let's just give them a food, or clothes, and
