Everyday activities
Use: To express actions that happens every day.
Example: I use my computer to work.
Rules
• We add –s to the verb to form the third person singular (he, she, it).
Example: he drinks he runs
• We add –s to verbs that end in –e
Example: She writes
BUT
• We add –es to verbs that end in –ss, -sh, -ch, -x, -o.
Example: he watches
• With verbs ending in consonant + y, we change the –y to –ies.
Example: she cries
But with verbs ending in vowel + y, we just add –s as usual.
