About this manual

1 About this manual

This manual is intended solely for the use of service technicians authorised by Winterhalter.
This manual contains information mainly about the PIN menu, actuators and sensors, error management and
parameter settings. The other functions and capabilities of the electronic control are described in the operat-
ing instructions.

1.1 Explanation of terms used

The following terms are used in these instructions:
 Actuators: The electronic components incorporated in the machine such as pumps, solenoid valves and
heating elements, etc. that carry out an action when they are controlled (activated) ( ‎0).
 Sensors: The electronic components incorporated in the machine such as level sensors and temperature
sensors, etc. that record measured values ( ‎11.2).
 Actuator programme: Programme to activate actuators and transmit sensor values ( ‎7.2).
 Parameter: Characteristic (temperature, time, display, ...) that can be changed.
 Parameter value: Numerical value with or without units such as 85 °C, 120 s
 Parameter set: Collection of all the parameters with a specific basic setting. In the base there is a plate
on which the parameter set is recorded with which the machine is delivered ( ‎12.2).

1.2 Explanation of symbols used

Decommissioning for a period of disuse

8 Decommissioning for a period of disuse

For longer interruptions, during which there is a risk of the water carrying components of the machine can
freeze, the machine must be made frost-proof:

 Store detergent and rinse aid containers frost-free.

 Prime the dosing devices.
 Empty the machine using the self-cleaning programme.
 Switch off the local mains disconnector.
 Close the on-site water stop cock.
 Empty the water supply hose and then re-fit it.
 Clean the machine.
 Leave the hood open.

9 Recommissioning after a period of disuse

After the break, the machine must be completely frost-free (at a temperature of 25 °C for at least 24 hours)
before it is put into operation again.

 Open the on-site water stop cock.

 Switch on the local mains disconnector.
 Reinstall detergent and rinse aid containers.
 Switch on the machine.
 Prime the dosing devices.

This chapter explains the remedies in case of malfunctions. The causes and remedies have been specified
in the tables.

Danger of life due to components that are energised!

The boiler and the heating elements are under voltage even when the machine is off.
Danger Disconnect the machine during all electrical work from the mains and check that it is without
power.

All actuators and sensors are shown in the following tables. According to the variant of the machine, not all
actuators and sensors are available and are therefore not listed in the actuator programme ( ‎7.2).

Description of all parameters

12 Description of all parameters

12.1 General
All P50 dishwashers are controlled by an electronic control unit. The program stored in the electronic control
unit can be changed within certain limits by changing individual parameter values. Access is through the
operating panel.

The individual parameters are responsible for specific areas. For quick access to a specific area, the param-
eters are divided into groups:

P000 Parameter set

P001 – P299 Programme settings
P001 – P008 Programme P1
P041 – P048 Programme P2

INFO Not all parameters from P001 to P960 are accessible

12.2 P000: Parameter set

P000 Parameter set

By saving a parameter set, the individual parameters with their basic setting are loaded into
the control unit memory. If previously individual parameters with a different setting are
Use stored, this setting is overridden again. An exception are the hardware parameters
( ‎12.3): The settings of these parameters are not changed by saving a new parameter set.

IMPORTANT Never set the parameter set to P000 = 0 since then all of the parameters (including hardware
parameters) will be set to the default value.

The following parameter sets P000 exist:

P000
Integral dosing, standard 1

Integral dosing, waste water heat exchanger 2

External dosing, standard 3

External dosing, waste water heat exchanger 4

12.3 Hardware parameters

The hardware parameters are factory set because they define basic characteristics of the machine. They do
not change when a new parameter set is saved. They must be directly accessed and changed.
