2.1 CHUẨN BỊ SẮP THI
2.1 CHUẨN BỊ SẮP THI
Nowadays, people are enduring difficult situations; they are more stressed than ever
before. In this essay, I will discuss why life has become so difficult, and how this situation
can be changed.
To begin with, the central reason behind stressful life is increased competition in
every field of life, such as education, employment, and even sports. Students and employees,
for example, are pressurized by their parents and employers respectively to perform better
than others. This makes them anxious and stressed because they feel overwhelmed by the
expectations of associated persons. Another reason that leads to a stressful life is maintaining
a high social status. People often spend more than their earnings, especially on their
marriages, only to impress other people and this makes their financial position worse.
Furthermore, technology changes rapidly and that makes the existing skill sets
become obsolete and forces people to take more pressure to learn the new technologies.
Besides, the ever-increasing population in the city put more pressure on our
immediate environment and resources. As resources become scarce, they also become more
expensive which adds more pressure on the already struggling citizens.
To solve this problem, we have to change our attitude toward life. Life is not about
running after money and promotion and once in a while, we have to take breaks. If we know
what creates our stress and start living a healthy life as much as possible, we would have a
better lifestyle. From the employers’ end, there should be some initiatives for reducing stress
in the workplace. Moreover, spending quality time with family members and with people, we
care about is another good way to fight stress. Above all, we have to learn to lead a contented
life with whatever we have.
In conclusion, there is no denying that people are stressed more these days owing to
competition, and financial burdens. We need to be happy with little and lead quality time
with family members to fight the stress-related issues that we acquire due to the competitive
and demanding job environment.
2. Do you expect to see one-day technology replace humans, meaning that we have no
jobs, no income, and no career development? Why (not)?
Example 1:
In this day and age, with the rapid development of AI – artificial Intelligence, there is
no denying that in one-day AI will replace humans ad have a strong negative impact on the
human market because robots will increase efficiency and complete almost task faster than
human do.
Robots can be more efficient than humans and they make fewer mistakes in terms of
completing any task that requires to be focus and concentration. Moreover, the capacity of
data that a robot can have is massively compared to humans. Al has a big influence on
preventing human error. Having to worry about daily life problems can lead humans to get
easily distracted. People have emotions and feelings robots don't. For a human will be almost
impossible to memorize such a large amount of data to complete a task as efficiently and
precisely as a robot can do it. This factor positions humans at a disadvantage in the job
market against robots.
Machines don't get tired, don't need a break, or take a day off, also, they are able to
produce with little maintenance at a faster pace than humans do. Due to the huge amounts of
information that is analyzed. Most companies don't want to waste their time, therefore, they
are trying to use Al as much as they can in order to stay competitive. As a result, they are
replacing workers with machines that are more cost-efficient. Humans need medical benefits
and work insurance. In contrast, machines only need to be repaired or replaced, and that can
be cheaper for employers.
In conclusion, Artificial Intelligence will take jobs that were once created by humans,
robots are becoming more efficient and faster to complete tasks than humans. The effect on
the job market will lead to fewer job opportunities for humans, probably sooner for those
with lower education. During the next years will be necessary for a lot of people to be willing
to learn as many skills as they can in order to be prepared for automation.
3. Do you think IT really brings people closer? Why (not)?
Example 1:
A certain group of individuals believes that modern gadgets such as mobile phones,
laptops, and computers have drastically improved the lives of humans whereas others opine
that social interactions have decreased dramatically. I personally agree with the former
opinion as the latest innovations in technology and internet connectivity have created a life
without borders.
To begin with, In today’s modern world, the use of smartphones and widespread
internet connectivity is the most debatable and controversial topic, and every individual has
their own views. There is a deluge of arguments in favor of my stance. The most predominant
one is young adolescents who believe that life without the internet and smart gadgets won’t
be possible for them, as all the tasks ranging from banking to education are done on this
modern equipment. For instance, a survey conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology,
Ranchi, revealed that the biggest advantage of mobiles is improved communication with
family and friends staying abroad. In terms of education, it has broadened our horizons for
knowledge and information available online.
Secondly, in recent times addiction to various social platforms is seen among young
individuals. Further, it has led to reduced social interactions in the family. For example, a
study done by Oxford University demonstrated that the incidence of mental disorders has
surged due to excessive dependence on these social platforms. Basically, both parents and
teachers should pay attention to children below 18 years of age regarding the usage of
phones.
In a nutshell, in my opinion, though the advantages of modern technology are
enormous on the contrary its disadvantages can’t be potentially ignored. Additionally,
stringent laws should be implemented in various institutions and educational varsities to
prevent addiction among the younger generation.
Example 2:
Today modern technology comes in many forms. In this new generation, we have
phones, computers, television, and now even virtual reality. With all these new technologies,
children, teenagers, and even adults get separated or taken away from their families or
friends. I believe technology mostly tears people apart but also has some ways to unite us.
Technology is now used to separate us from each other and it disconnects from our human
nature to understand the reality of family and friendship, but it sometimes can be an effective
way to bring us together. Modern technology mostly tears families or friends apart because it
will cause you to forget or ignore them for a long period of time. Most people use technology
as a way to disregard each other. As a matter of fact, people of all ages become inattentive
individuals because of technology. In the short story, "Marionettes, Inc.” by Ray Bradbury,
one quote says, “And
The best technology, in my opinion, is the internet. My friends and I have connected
through social media, video games, and viral videos. Even though we had our few shares of
disagreements, in the end, we all made peace because of our love of new technologies such as
video games and memes. Technology gives us various ways to bring us closer together.
Although it does sometimes bring us together, technology tears us apart even more. Ever
since the invention of technology, it has been mostly part of our daily lives. Technology is
now everywhere and getting bigger as an essential. It has separated us, disconnected us, and
overtook the beyond our control. For many years technology has been a controversial topic, if
will separate us human beings or become closer as better people.
Example 3:
What I want to focus on today is the big debate of whether or not technology brings
us closer together or if it drives us further apart. Technologies such as smartphones and
laptops have really only started to advance at a more rapid pace in the last 20 years. Twenty
years ago, not everyone had a cell phone and more people had desktop computers. In today’s
society, most people have a smartphone, and desktop computers have been overtaken by
laptops.
Let’s talk about how technology is seen to drive people apart. I find it is mostly the
teenage group that is picked on most for technology driving people apart. People often talk
about teenagers in a negative way with respect to technology, such as, “All you do is stare at
the TV”, “You never hang out with the family anymore” or “Why are you always looking
down at your phone? Are we not interesting enough for you?”. Studies do show that
teenagers in today’s society spend more time on social media and technology. However, we
have to look at how available it is to these teens.
It makes sense that teens spend more time on technology if it is easier and more
available to get to and use. I think it is also a good thing to mention maybe we shouldn’t be
saying ‘all teens’ when we refer to the growth in the use of technology. This creates a
negative assumption about the entirety of a group that just isn’t true. There are many teens
that still hangout with their families and don’t have their phones on then 24/7. I also think it
is important to mention as well that, instead of berating the teens that maybe are on their
phones or some sort of technology more than they should be, we should be educating them
and approaching it in a more positive manner.
It is also very important to consider the positive effects of technology. In this time of
COVID-19 with quarantining and social distancing, not being able to see some of your
biggest supports can have quite a negative impact on your mental health. Technology has
done its best to keep people together during this pandemic from Zoom-style weddings,
birthday parties, business meetings, school, and just the odd chat with your friends. Yes,
seeing someone over Zoom is definitely not the same as being able to see them in person and
give them a huge hug. However, it does give us the opportunity to stay in contact somehow
so we are not completely isolated from one another.
Sometimes I believe we are all a little guilty of spending a bit too much time browsing
the internet or scrolling on TikTok or Instagram. It is definitely not just teenagers. The
amount of time you decide to dedicate to technology, more specifically how you decided to
dedicate it, can really make a difference if it brings us together or drives us apart. Two
different people could spend two hours on their technology; one might scroll through TikTok
for the full two hours while the other person decided to dedicate that time they’re using
technology to run their business or work at school.
In conclusion, I think that technology can affect you in any way you allow it to. It
really depends on how you consciously decide to use it.
4. What are the criteria for you to evaluate a university?
Example 1:
Most people will agree that finding the right university, coming out of high school,
plays a significant role in shaping the future of students. Well, finding the right major or
subject of study is equally important; as most graduates spend their entire career lives
working in the field they graduated from university studying.
Therefore, for students to make that important choice of a lifetime, they must consider
some key factors when looking and applying for universities.
Whether it is the academic majors they want to study, the name of the university they
want to join, or the career success they look forward to after graduating. all these factors play
a big part in making a perfect decision for the university that will determine the future of a
student both professionally as well as personally.
1. Academic Majors
Because each student has different interests, aspirations, skills, and abilities;
recognizing those interests and abilities is crucially important to make the most out of them in
taking the right steps towards your future.
Are you interested in studying liberal arts or are you drawn more towards studying
computer engineering?
These interests should be apparent by the time students are in their junior or senior
years.
A student who is interested in pursuing a career as an engineer, for example, will want
to join a university with a reputable engineering curriculum and strong facilities, and ample
resources for engineering.
We at studygram.me have access to connecting you with a variety of trusted
universities offering a complete engineering learning experience worldwide, submit your
query form now and get all the answers needed.
2. Academic Quality and University Reputation
A lot of universities are known for offering stronger programs or majors than others;
Cardiff University in the United Kingdom, for example, is known to provide students with an
excellent Pharmacy program. The University of Debrecen in Hungary, on the other hand, is
known to enroll students from around the world in its Health Sciences programs.
It is a major help if a student already knows, or at least has an idea of what study field
they want to pursue; it will have such a strong impact on their career success when graduating
from a university with a good reputation in the field of study of choice.
As previously explained in the paragraph above, when a student is interested in
studying biology, they should research where the best biology program is being offered.
3. Cost of Tuition and Cost of Living
Looking at college education as an investment in one’s future, it is best to spend as
little as possible on education while maximizing the return on that investment.
It is estimated that the cost of tuition amounts to about half of the entire cost of
attending college given that other costs may include accommodation expenses, transportation,
food, books, and other miscellaneous expenses.
There are plenty of universities around the world that offer a very high-quality
education with a very affordable tuition fee.
The location of the university, as well, plays an important part in how high or low the
cost of attending college abroad as a total might be; therefore, it is important to consider the
location of the university in order to determine affordability

5. Do you think a university education can really help you have a good career
development in the future?
Example 2:
Higher education plays a pivotal role in an individual's professional life. Many people
are of the opinion that the role of university education is to merely facilitate a graduate's job-
hunting endeavors. Others, however, believe that the beneficial ramifications a university can
provide for its students are many. This essay analyses both points of view. I believe that
besides helping graduates find better jobs, a university can do much more.
Firstly, the primal objective of any university is to award a successful candidate with
a professional degree. Although a degree may not guarantee a job, it is nevertheless
necessary, as employers will not hire an individual without the right kind of academic
qualifications. So a university degree increases the job prospects of individuals. For instance,
more than 80% of parents in South Asian countries believe that their children should have
university degrees for the sake of getting a better job.
On the other hand, many believe that a degree is just one of the many benefits a
university can offer. A university does improve many soft skills of its learners, such as
confidence, empathy, delegation, observation, imagination, responsibility, planning, analysis,
problem-solving skills, and many more - the importance of which for personal, professional
and social success are undeniable. These days, many employers seek not only applicants'
academic qualifications but also important soft skills. These soft skills help people thrive in
their personal life, and contribute better to society and the nation. Thus university education
goes beyond preparing young minds for their careers.
I believe that universities shape young students to become personally, socially and
professionally ready to take challenges and contribute more for the betterment of all. Students
learn many soft skills that help them not only do better in their jobs but also become better
members of society and develop and grow as individuals.
To conclude, it is clear from the above discussion that universities emphasise
developing their learners' overall skills - including academic, professional and personal skills,
that are required for success in life while also becoming better citizens.
6. What is the role of technology in human life?
Example 1:
Technology has changed dramatically every aspect of our daily life. We are able to do
many things with technology. We can’t think anything about technology in the future
because; we have a lot of technical items which are enough for modern life. It will continue
to change in the future because there is nothing new to develop in the future and also we have
everything to do in our lives now. Therefore, technology has improved our lives through
education, communication, and medical treatment.
First of all, technology is a powerful tool that improved, supports, and transforms
education in many ways such as digital textbooks, and Google classrooms to facilitate
learning, research new information, project work, student activity, manage and monitor.…

Finally, technology has improved a lot of medical systems. In the past, many people
died prematurely due to a lack of treatment. If someone had a disease, he could not correctly
eat any medicine because there was no hospital for treatment. Also, at that time there was no
specialist doctor. But now we have a lot of hospitals in our country and there has a lot of
expert doctors and they give us much better treatment. Many people are also saved from the
way of death by better treatment and that is only because of technology. Technology has also
broadened the way a patient can communicate with his or her doctor. “This type of
communication is called telecommunication technology. Telemedicine initially can help the
patient and doctor and medical technology essentially saves many lives and increases the
quality and safety of life” (“Positive effects on medical technology”).
In conclusion, though it is a modern world, it’s impossible to lead a life without
technology. Because of its benefits, it became a part and parcel of our everyday life. It is very
difficult to live with happiness except for technology. From getting up to go bed, technology
plays a great role in our as-usual work. In that case only because technology has improved
our education system, the social communication system as well as medical treatment. It helps
us to step ahead. It is not only helping us with the present and past but also brings us closer to
the future.
7. What is negative/positive side of IT?
Introduction:
In the current globalized world, we are exposed to different types of technologies
around us. Technological development is not restricted to a specific sector. It impacts various
industries and sectors of society. From tablets, phones, and personal laptops, to advancements
in science, education, and medicine, technology comes in different flavors.
In comparison to the old days, technology provides us with improved facilities and
luxuries that make life comfortable. It is engrossed in our life to an extent that living without
it is next to impossible. However, these luxuries do not come free of cost. For some people,
it is more of a risk than a boon. The advantages and drawbacks of technology compel us to
give a second thought to whether it is destructive or advantageous for a common person.
The disadvantage of technology:
Digital Eye Strain:
There is no doubt in saying that cell phones are an irreplaceable and essential part of
our life. It serves as both a curse and a blessing. When seen in terms of healthcare, use of this
device has proved to be dangerous. Constant looking at screens causes short-sightedness,
reduced concentration, and lowered body movement.
Prolonged use of tablets, cell phones, and computers leads to eye strain. Some of the
signs of it include: blurred vision; headaches; dry eyes; neck pain; shoulder pain
Factors such as screen glare, improper viewing distance, and bad lighting.
Health experts advise that there should be twenty seconds of a break after every 20
minutes of exposure to technological devices. Also, it is advised to keep 20 feet distance
between you and the technological device.
Using a smartphone continuously can lead you to pain in the shoulder, neck, and
spine. It can cause musculoskeletal issues in a person. Use of technology for more than the
prescribed time limit results in repetitive injuries of the thumbs, wrists, and fingers due to
strain. In this way, overuse and incorrect use of technology are harmful to the body.
Sleep issues
People are so addicted to using technology that they don’t even leave using these
devices in their bedroom. This causes interference with sleep in numerous ways. As per the
recent study, it is concluded that use of tech devices before reaching bed impacts the sleep on
physiological and psychological levels.
Exposure to the “blue light” emitted by the devices shows that it suppresses the
production of melatonin in the body and disturbs the circadian clock of a person. Which it
makes it difficult for people to fall asleep. Inferior quality of sleep makes them less alert,
lethargic, and irritable in the morning.
Less creativity
Overuse of technology is seen to reduce the creativity skills in a person. He loses his
ability to imagine or think deeply about any subject. Lack of emotional reaction and social
skills are the drawbacks of technology. It leads to social isolation that is seen as reduced
communication with friends, and less involvement in social activities, and at the workplace.
Lack of privacy
Technology leads to loss of privacy. As everything is visible on Facebook, other
people can easily find out the address and communication information of a person in just a
few clicks. Phishing, hacking, and viruses can also be used to find out any information
pertaining to a person.
Positive effects of technology:
Effective communication
Technology makes communication easier among people. With the help of video calls,
voice calls, social media, instant messaging, Skype, etc. instant communication is possible.
Also, when compared with older times, technology has made communication affordable and
simple.
Education
Technology has opened the doorway to online learning. Now, students can avail
online courses from the comfort of their home. Various recognized universities now provide
online degree to students without the need to attend the college. This is realized through
online learning sessions.
Makes shopping hassle-free, affordable, and quick
With the increasing use of the internet, a lot of shopping brands have opened their e-
commerce retail stores. Online shopping makes shopping an effortless and enjoyable
experience for everyone. Availability of items at wholesale price help people saves a lot on
shopping.
Improved transportation
With technology, it is easier for people to cover larger distances easily, affordably,
and quickly. People can now reach a different country easily, which was not possible in olden
times.
Conclusion
Technology is an eminent part of our daily life. Though it poses a few negative
effects, it also provides a wide range of positive benefits in areas of education, general
welfare and health. Learning about these impacts help in taking steps to recognize and reduce
them so that you can make the most out of its positive impacts.
8. Positive and negative effects of globalization
Globalization refers to the overall development as well as modernization of a
community as a whole. The reason why globalization is important is because it helps
a community in gaining international recognition, influence as well as operation. This,
however, can be projected in both positive as well as negative ways. The debate on
whether globalization is good or bad for any particular community has been going on
since ages and while some people stress on the benefits of globalization; others pay
more attention towards the compromises and risks of achieving globalization. Without
wasting much time, let us take a look at some of the positives as well as negatives of
globalization.
Positives of Globalization
Negatives of Globalization
1. The most common drawback of globalization is that it is widening the gap between
the rich and poor; where rich people are becoming richer and poor are becoming
poorer.
2. As a result of outsourcing, globalization may deprive an entire country of its jobs and
resources. This is because globalization takes jobs away from one country and
provides it to another country; hence leaving lots of people without the opportunities
that they deserve.
3. Although people belonging to different cultures and countries get a chance to interact
with each other, it causes a loss in tradition and values.
4. As species are deprived of their non-native ecosystems, there are increased chances of
them spreading diseases and disrupting other natural ecosystems and their native
species.
It is very important to strike balance between the positives and negatives of globalization so
that balance can be restored in nature and its living species.
Nowadays, the workforce has become a competitive place, in which employees have
to master various fundamental skills to be successful. Among the qualities, social skills and
good qualifications are the most important. From my perspective, although I think it is
necessary to own an ability to socialize well, I believe possessing good qualifications has
greater importance.
To begin with, an employee should have socializing skills to pursue a good job. To
explicate, this quality creates a positive vibe among the employees, which might prove vital
in avoiding toxic work situations. When the stress and tension are kept at a minimum level,
the workers can concentrate on their work. For example, instead of worrying about peer
pressure, a labourer can focus on improving his performance at work. Furthermore, when
socializing within the company is smoother, workers can create relationships with their
colleagues and seniors, thus opening opportunities for promotion or salary hikes.
However, I feel sufficient qualifications act as a strong factor behind the success of an
employee. A requisite formal knowledge about the job is required for workers to carry out
their professional responsibilities. If a worker is only on good terms with the superior without
showing them his ability to manage a higher position at work, he could not go further in his
career path. Moreover, almost all highly-skilled workers need a standard university
qualification. For instance, medicine and law are the fields that demand a degree. Also, most
employers tend to prefer qualified employees for skilful jobs. Therefore, it is vital to have
proper qualifications to have a successful career.
In conclusion, one needs to admit the fact that these two are crucial skills for an
employee, though I believe qualifications in certain fields stand a degree above the ability to
socialize.
10. State your view on elitism in education
There are many Advantages of Elite Education System but on the other hand
Disadvantages of Elite Education System are also there Education is one of the basic
necessities of life and the standard of education plays the vital role in the upbringing of a
society. Elite education is considered to be a blessing for the developing countries but the
difference between the Elite education and the economical education systems and this
increasing difference has created various advantages and disadvantages in the society. Below
are the advantages and disadvantages of the elite education system.
Advantage:
The every basic but crucial advantage of the elite education system is the standard and
quality of education and the system. Quality and standard education is considered to be
the main component of the elite education and if the system is up to the prescribed
standards than education can play and contribute for which it is made.
The standardization of elite education is because the education system which is being
followed in elite is the one which is being followed all over the world including the
developed countries of the west, so elite education system gives the exposure of the education
system which has groomed the societies in the past which are currently not leading the states
but at the same time are also leading the world.
Elite education systems gives the children that all important grooming which is as
necessary and important as the good education is and that is another component of elite
education systems because in such systems they just don’t impart good education but at
the same time they inculcate very good morals and ethics in the personality of the children.
Disadvantage:
Avery threatening disadvantage of the elite education system is that it creates and
widens the gap and distributes the population on the basis of social classes, and just because
of this the difference between poor and rich divides the solidarity of the nation.
The children which are getting their education in the lower standards educational
system feels themselves inferior and that inferior complex endangers their personality and
lives, because the differentiation on the basis of financial standards is against the harmony of
the nation.
Different education system is injurious for the educational systems of the country as
the local system is always prevailed in the nation so the implementation and adaptation of
elite education system endangers the local and national education system of the county. So
the local education system should be improved in such a manner that elite education system
should be eliminated from the state's educational system.
