ICT Academy is a not for profit social Enterprise initiated in the year 2009 under the public- private partnership model, by the Government of India in
collaboration with the State Governments and Industries. The organisation was formed with representations from the Government, leading
companies in the ICT industry and National Association of Software Services Companies (NASSCOM) in India.

ICT Academy enables a platform between Government, Corporate and Academia with the prime objective of developing the next generation
teachers and industry ready students. ICT Academy executes through a 7 pillar approach that includes Faculty Development, Student Skill
Development, Entrepreneurship Development, Youth Empowerment, Industry-Institute Interaction, Digital Empowerment and Research &

BRIDGE conference, a flagship conference of ICT Academy aims to bridge the industry-academia gap. BRIDGE is a confluence of Educators,
Researchers, Corporate, Solution Providers, NGOs and Policy Makers to find possible solutions and answers to some of the most challenging, critical
and relevant questions we face in the journey towards transforming India. The conference serves as a platform in providing a strategic view on the
trends that shape the educational ecosystem. The conference engages various stakeholders to seize opportunities to transform from theories to

BACKGROUND
Today, we are at the beginning of a Fourth Industrial Revolution. Developments in genetics, artificial intelligence, robotics, nano technology, 3D printing
and biotechnology, to name just a few, are all building on and amplifying one another. In today’s scenario of this massive technological change
accompanied by talent shortages, mass unemployment and growing inequality-reskilling and upskilling of today’s workers will be critical. While much has
been said about the need for reform in basic education, it is simply not possible to weather the current technological revolution by waiting for the next
generation’s workforce to become better prepared. Instead it is critical that educational institutions, corporate and Government to take a proactive
approach in creating an enabling environment, rapidly and creatively, to assist these efforts.

The current technological revolution need not become a race between humans and machines but rather an opportunity for work to truly become a
channel through which people recognize their full potential. To ensure that we achieve this vision, we must become more specific and much faster in
understanding the changes underway and cognizant of our collective responsibility to lead our educational ecosystem through this transformative
