Chapter Report

An American woman taught English in China and struggled to understand the language and culture as she had to blend her American culture with Chinese culture. Over time, she mastered the language and customs to the point that she could blend in like a native. She enjoyed the experience of discovering herself in China so much that she returned to teach again, feeling more comfortable navigating between the two cultures.

Chapter Report

CHAPTER REPORT “An American Finding Her Chinese Face”

 Summary of “An American Finding Her Chinese Face”


There was an American girl who teached English in China, and she found a problem
about China language and she tried hard to understand about China language and it’s
culture. Because she must to mix her culture before in China. But finally, she could be
like a native. So once again she came back to China and teach again. And she felt she
discover herself in China.
 Opinion of “An American Finding Her Chinese Face”
We are very excited with the story, This story is amazing because we first read about
this story and we suprise about the content of this story, because the story different.
American girl looks like chinese girl for us it’s too rare. If chinese girl look like american
girl perhaps we ever seen it on television.
 Main Idea of each Paragraf Based on “An American Finding Her Chinese Face”
1. She was an overseas chinese.
2. Opened her secret idintity
3. She couldn’t speak chinese very well.
