fire is usuallyindicatedby an odor ofhot or buminginsulation
andwispsofsmoke.
If_firdsmokestops and electricalpower is requiredfor the remainderof the flight, tu.n the masterswitch oN,
followed by the desiredcircuit switch. Allow a minutebetweentuming on ea; switch in order that the fauhy
circuitmaybe locatedandswitchedOFF.

In the evert ofloss ofoil pressureto the propellerand/orpropellergovemor, the propellerwitl automaticallygo
to tho LOW RPM Position. The throttle may be usedwith cautionasnecessaryto climb or maintainlevel flight.
A precautionary landingshouldbe madeassoonaspractical.
If the enginecannotbe resta.tedin flight, trim the aircraftto the recomrneldedglide speed. Remain within
gliding distanceofthe intendedpoint oflanding. Maintaina higherandcloserpattemthan normalmaking
allowancefor wind.
Additional altitude canbe lost by slippingthe aircraft. DMng the aircraftin attemptto lose altitudev/ill only
increasethe requiredlandingdistance.

A malfirnction in the static systemwill affect the airspeed,altimeter arld veftical speedindicator and may be a
result of an obstructedstatic opening. An alternatestatic sourcecanbe provided from within the cabinby
breakingthe glassin the airspeed,altimeteror rateof climbinstrumentface.
