Whatsapp Community VS Whatsapp Grou1

WhatsApp groups allow up to 1024 members to communicate directly, while WhatsApp communities organize multiple groups under one umbrella. Communities have a maximum of 50 groups or 5000 members, and only administrators can post messages visible to the entire community. Compared to groups, communities provide less interaction between members but make it easier to share information across large numbers of people. Both tools can be used to effectively connect large audiences, but with different strengths around member interaction and content sharing.

WHATSAPP COMMUNITY VS

WHATSAPP GROUP
Although both WhatsApp groups and WhatsApp communities aim to bring
people together, there are notable differences between the two.

THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS.

In November 2022, WhatsApp changed the number of members that can

be added to a group. WhatsApp allows you to add up to 1024 members in
one group. This figure was initially 254, raised to 512, and ultimately to
1024. It helps businesses and professionals on WhatsApp to stay
connected. (WhatsApp Group)
WhatsApp community is a directory feature, a way to organize groups
under one umbrella, allowing you to reach more audiences effectively. The
admin can add a total of 50 groups or 5000 people to WhatsApp
community announcement group. (WhatsApp community)
You can start adding members and groups right after creating a WhatsApp
community

CONTENT SHARING
WhatsApp communities and groups are different in terms of content
sharing. Users can send texts and media in groups, react to messages,
create polls, and mention others. All members can share their desired
content unless restricted by the group admin.

WhatsApp groups allow members to hold discussions and communicate

with each other. Members can reply to each other's messages privately or
in the group.

WhatsApp communities work differently, as they are mainly created to give

updates across groups. A WhatsApp community allows only the admin to
send messages in the community's announcement group for all the
participants to see.

Members cannot react to the message sent by the community admin but
can reply to a specific message privately. Also, community members
cannot see who else is a part of the community.

PRIVACY
With little tweaks, you can change the privacy settings of a WhatsApp
group; however, there are some settings you can’t change.

For example, when you add people to a WhatsApp group, their contact
information is visible to other group members regardless of whether they
are in their contact list or not. It gives users complete freedom to save
contacts and connect with whomever they want in the group. It is a bit
concerning that people you do not know can access your phone number
just by being a part of the same group.

WhatsApp communities are different in that regard. Since communities

were created to pass on updates, WhatsApp maintains user privacy by not
disclosing their information to other members.

FEATURES

WhatsApp groups allow everyone to connect and interact with each other.
Users can send media like pictures, videos, and documents, their location,
and share contacts in the group. You can also forward messages to
anyone individually. WhatsApp groups have Polls by which users can give
their opinions as well.

You can react to the messages and also select one to reply to. In other
words, WhatsApp groups are created for mutual interaction.

On the other hand, features are limited when it comes to WhatsApp

communities. Users are notified regarding any alerts or changes within the
community. Besides this, only the admin can share content such as
location, media, contact number, and documents. There is no option to
create a poll to get members' feedback in the community.

WhatsApp groups allow you to make as many admins as you want. On the
other hand, WhatsApp communities allow users to make up to 20 admins
at a time.

CALLING FEATURES
Groups allow you to hold voice and video calls with up to eight members.
The conversation is end-to-end encrypted and suitable for holding small
meetings.

Users can also send a message and pause the video while on a WhatsApp
call. You can minimize the screen and navigate to other apps without
disconnecting the call.

Like messages, users cannot place a WhatsApp audio or video call in

communities. Since communities are to address your messages to many
people, the members have no calling option.

TIPS FOR MANAGING YOUR WHATSAPP COMMUNITY

INFORM YOUR MEMBERS BEFORE ADDING OR REMOVING GROUPS

When adding or removing groups from your Community, inform members
in the group first. Letting them know about any changes helps to keep
everyone in the loop and ensures they know why you're adding or removing
the group.

UTILIZE MODERATION TOOLS

WhatsApp supports up to 1024 members in a group. Add that to the fact
that Communities can contain multiple groups, and you’ve got a lot of
potential content to manage.

To make sure you’re staying on top of your Community, utilize moderation

tools like member removal and message deletion. This will help keep
conversations organized and ensure everyone follows the same guidelines.

CHECK IN REGULARLY
Finally, make sure to check in on your groups regularly. This means going
through group conversations to be sure members are following the rules
and engaging in meaningful discussion. You can also deactivate the
WhatsApp communities that have served (or are no longer serving) their
purpose.

MANAGING YOUR WHATSAPP COMMUNITY

WhatsApp Communities offer users the ability to manage multiple groups
at once. By following the steps outlined above, you can add or remove
groups from your Community with ease. With a few tips for managing your
Community, you can stay organized and ensure everyone is receiving the
information they need.
CONCLUSION
Now we are using WhatsApp automation for daily updates and news we
have 234 groups for BLA members. Once we will Start the Automation for
all the groups it will take 2hours to Complete.

Once we create the community for those groups 234/50. We have to create
only 5 community. Once it will created we don’t want a automation for daily
news and group updates. Nowadays we was sending 3 news per day. It
takes around 6 hours to reach all the group members. If we create a
WhatsApp community once it will take only a few minutes to send those
messages to all the members in the WhatsApp group.
