Contributed as an Expert Core Committee Member to bring out National Guidelines in the
Management of Hypertension under the auspices of API 1998, 2000, 2005, 2006, 2013, 2014

President – Indian Institute of Medical Technology – Kolkata since 2005


Initiated this Institute in 2005along with the help of group of specialists in Kolkata to teach and train the
doctors interested in Critical Care Medicine. We have got facilities for hands-on-training in the use of
devices used primarily in Critical Care Medicine. Students are given theoretical lectures and shown
technical knowhow in the care of critically ill patients. About 100 students are so far trained in batches
since 2005 and after the end of the course examinations are conducted and certificates are given for
future prospect of working in specialized centre in critical care medicine. We are planning for the
Diploma Course in collaboration with the Universities in Kolkata in future. I render my professional and
administrative expertise on a voluntary basis to this Institute. This Institute is registered with West
Bengal Society’s Act and approved by Govt. of West Bengal. In this context some few photo prints are
enclosed. This Institute was accorded permission to conduct one year Fellowship programme on
Training and Teaching of Critical Care Medicine in December 2016 from University of Health
Science, Kolkata.

Chairman – G. D. Hospital & Diabetes Institute, Dharmatala Street, Kolkata since 2009. In this
Institute we are rendering all out service to the patients of Diabetes with modern facilities till date.

Social and Community Affiliation and Services


Active Rotarian since 1994 with the oldest Rotary Club, Kolkata District 3291.
Rendered services as Director of Community Health Program, Advisor & Committee Chair in
different occasions since 1995-96.
