2.2. Fixed issues

2.2.1. The following issues are solved in this firmware.
1. When printing a specific PDF file via PSWC or USB flash memory, some texts may not be printed correctly.

2. Correct the wrong wordings in Eco Info on PSWC. (Japanese only)
Incorrect: Co2

3. When sending IPaddressFAX to multiple destinations by multi-address transmission,
C-E301 may occur if the machine fails to send one of destinations, and then C-E002 may occur after the machine rebooting
or turning the main switch off and on.
4. C-E002 may occur with the environment for the usage of Authentication Manager when the printing job, the scanning job or
the faxing job is quit during executing without expectation due to e.g. a temporary blackout.
5. Adobe Acrobat X does not approve PDF/A file generated by MFP.
6. Incorrect working of IP filtering.
When enabling the IP filtering function, once trying to access the MFP with PC which is out of permission range of IP
address, the permitted PC loses an access to the MFP until the MFP is turned off and on.
7. Correct the wrong "Shift" key wordings on the Panel Keyboard. (French/Italian/German/Spanish/Chinese/Traditional
Chinese)
8. The firmware for IISW is not created even if performing the firmware for IISW creation batch file if one-byte space is used for
the file path.
9. When printing a large PDF file with approximately 1500 pages, the following phenomena may occur.
-The printing does not start with data lamp blinking.
-The printing suspends during printing the job, and then the data lamp is leaving blinking.

10. If Localized Firmware is insalled and Non-EFIGS language is selected in Language Selection, the following issue occurs.
- LMS license settings is not possible with "Localized keyboards" and functions for i-option can not be enabled, because you
can not enter capital.
- CSRC settings is not possible with "Localized keyboards" and MFP can not connect to CSRC Center, because you can not
enter capital.
11. Loadable Driver for AU-201H fails to authenticate the card.
12. If String Selection Control or dynamic selection control is used on the custom screen of Scan by using Open API External
Scan, the Selection item may be blank.
13. If the Register Key1 of Remote Panel is selected, the screen assigned to the Register Key3 is displayed and if the Register
Key3 of Remote Panel is selected, the screen assigned to the Register Key1 is displayed.
14. Correct the wrong French wordings.

15. The following message is changed and correction of the wrong wordings.

16. When using My Panel Manager, Panel lock occurs if the Shortcut Key of "Color" for Fax/Scan in the Main Menu is selected.
17. If the settings of the Job is displayed while sending the IP Address Fax Job by the following settings, the characters are
overlapped.
- File Type: Compact PDF
- Resolution:Ultra Fine
18. Misalignment may occur at the 2nd page on FS-534.
19. When downloading the firmware with USB flash memory stored in "FWSelect" folder, the downloading will not be completed
due to firmware bug.
20. If "ON" is selected on Nunber Display Function, Panel lock occurs. (Japanese market only)
21. The item "Warning Display - Near Empty Display time" in Service Mode is deleted due to no function.
22. If "NDS over TCP/IP" is selected in Server Type of External Server settings, the acquisition of Account Track data fails via
FTP or WevDAV.
23. If "Tri-Fold" is selected in User Settings>Printer Settings>Basic Settings>Fold Type Settings, Panel lock occurs when you
print out the following List.

Machine Management List, Adjustments List, Parameter List

24. If the Shortcut Key of Fax/Scan program is assigned in the Main Menu, the Top Menu screen is not displayed when Menu

25. When the optional fax kit (FK-511) line 2 is mounted and the MFP with Vendor 2 is installed, "Scan sending" is also charged
if perform G3-FAX sending with Line 2.
26. If the document saved in User Box is send by WebDAV from Direct Input, the Port Number can not be changed.
27. The Conflict Error is not displayed in the following combinations.
- Searchable PDF,PDF/A,PDF Web Optimization
- TIFF,JPEG,XPS,Compact XPS
28. The different address from the selected address is selected when the following procedure is operated using LDAP Search.
- "Details" of the address on the second page and onward is opened and closed.
29. When the document saved in User Box is sent, the Conflict Error is displayed if the following function is selecting.
- Header/Footer
30. If "Stamp Settings" button on the Bookmark is selected while setting "Printing/Sending" in the Apply Stamps settings, the
System Connection screen is displayed.
31. Density of image may become greater when Vdc that is determined by variation of image sampling becomes higher than the
expected value at D-max adjustment.
The calculation method of adhesion amount was modified, which is to avoid selecting an exception value when calculating
target adhesion amount, to prevent deep density.
32. To prevent the image failure on the edge of the printed image on 2nd side of the plain paper, the timing of the 2nd transfer
output was modified.
33. To prevent the low temperature off-set image just after Stand-by mode or Low Power Mode which are set with long time
setting, the temperature regulation control was modified.
34. To improve the operability for resetting the paper after jamming at the bypass tray, the timing for the moving down of the
lifting plate was changed more quickly.
35. The trouble code of C1109 appears when the cover of FS-533 is opened during stapling.
36. There is a possibility that “taking over notice” from MFP will not send out at all, even if the CSRC communication has
recovered.
Situation:
1. CSRC http1 protocol (CSRC two way)
2. Special use the following Firmware has been implemented
G00-53/G20-58
3. CSRC communication between MFP and CSRC server fails for some reason.
4. New event at MFP, e.g. warning or alert, has detected, try to send the status by Heart Beat (HB).
5. MFP retries to send the event 10 times, but it is failed. (CSRC communication is not recovered yet.)
6. CSRC communication recovered again.
7. Another new event has detected at MFP, send this new event to the CSRC server.
37. The following symptom occurs if the display size of the Preview for the document saved in User Box is changed repeatedly.
- The preview screen can not be dragged.
38. C-B116 may occur after returning Sleep Mode.
39. When printing the file with 2-Sided from the External Memory by Preview Print, the job is printed with 1-Sided.
40. When performing Auto Adjust of FD-Mag. Adj.(B) in Service Mode, the following symptom may occur.
- The original keeps flashing stopping in ADF and Auto Adjust may not be completed.

2.2.2. The followings are modified in this version.

1. Support for the motor (M5/M9) of SD-511/512 is changed.
2. When enable Debug Log function, USB password and Encryption passphrase for Debug Log reset to the default value.

2.2.3. The following issue is solved in this driver.

1. When using the MacOS X 10.7 driver, User Authentication setting (check-box) preset on the driver is not recalled from the
applications built with SandBox technologies (e.g. TextEdit/Preview).

3. Functional restrictions
3.1. Remaining Issues
The following issue will be corrected in maintenance release
1. User Authentication fails if the following operations are executed while the Primary Enhanced Authentication Server is in out
of operation.
- Log in from the network (PSWC etc.) while being logged in from the operation panel.
- Log in from the operation panel while being logged in from the network (PSWC etc.).

3.2. Functional restrictions

1. If the following procedure is operated by using XPS driver, all sheets are printed out as one set though multiple sets of copies
are specified on the printer driver. (This is a problem caused by the application software.)
1. Set the number of copies on the Adobe Acrobat X.
2. Open "Page Setup..." and printing the job after click "OK" button.

[Workaround]
Set the number of copies in properties of the printer driver.
2. An MS-Excel file that can be printed as one page with 600dpi setting may be printed in 2 pages if the resolution is changed
from 600dpi to 1200dpi. (This is a problem caused by the application software.)

3. If the IPP connection is selected on the Port setting of XPS Driver and the preview function is enabled, the following
symptom occurs. (This is a problem caused by the OS.)
-Although the print job is correctly completed, an error job remains in the spooler. The error job will be automatically deleted
afterward.
4. Printing becomes impossible when XPS driver is installed by the following procedure (SMB). (This is a problem caused by
the OS.)
- XPS driver is installed by SMB Browsing from Network.
- XPS driver is installed by IP Address Browsing from Network.

[Workaround]
Perform the following steps, when you install the XPS driver via SMB.
1. Open the Devices and Printers, then click [Add a printer].
2. Select the [Local printer].
3. Select the [Create a new port] and choose the [Local Port].
4. Enter "¥¥NetBios name¥service name" for the [Port Name].
5. If the "readme" is opened by the Auto Run in the CD-ROM that is comes with the MFP using IE8 or IE9 then print it by using
XPS preview function, an error message is displayed and it can not be printed.

This is a problem caused by the IE9.

Please do not open a file from the link of Auto Run and Please open a file directly.

4. How to install
4.1. How to install program
Use USB memory to install. For the details, see the Service Manual.
Conditions for USB memory which can be used for updating the firmware are as follows:
- Securities such as data encryption and password lock shall be released, or the security function shall be turned Off.
- Memory with 1 GB to 2 GB are recommended (One with 4 GB or more may not operate)
- Compatible with USB Version 1.0/2.0 interface
- Formatted with FAT32 type
- A USB flash memory that appears as multiple drives on a computer cannot be used.

4.2. How to check card version

[ROM version]:
You can check the ROM version in service mode, "Firmware Version”
For the details, see the Service Manual.

4.3. How to install movie data

Use USB memory to install. For the details, see the Service Manual.

4.4. How to install voice data

The following options are required to use the voice guidance function.
- EK-604/ 605 (local interface kit)
- i-Option LK-104 v3
Use USB memory to install. For the details, see the Service Manual.

4.5. How to install OCR Dictionary Data for Searchable PDF and PDF/A Font Data
Use USB memory to install. For the details, see the Service Manual.
i-Option kit is required to use these functions.

4.6. How to install Unicode Font Data and OCR Font Data
Install Font Data for LPR using LPR command from the PC.
Install Font Data for USB using USB memory.
For the details, see the Service Manual.
i-Option kit is required to use these functions

4.7. How to install Loadable Driver

1. Extract the attached exe file and save “xxxxxx.tar” file to root directory of USB memory.
2. Insert the USB memory to USB port of MFP.
3. Call the Service Mode to the screen.
4. Touch [System 2] -> [Driver Install].
5. Touch [SET] and press “Start” button to start installing the data.
6. Check that data is normally installed from the message that appears on the control panel.
7. Turn OFF/ON the main switch.
8. In the Service Mode> Billing Setting> Management Function Choice, select “Card” or “Body” in “Authentication
Device2” and press “OK” button.
9. Turn OFF/ON the main switch.
