    “AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING THE SEGREGATION OF GARBAGE IN ALL BUSINESS


    ESTABLISHMENTS AND HOUSEHOLDS FOR PROPER DISPOSAL AND ORDERLY COLLECTION
    OF THE MUNICIPAL GARBAGE COLLECTOR”
    _____________________________________________________________________________________________

    AUTHOR: SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY OF BARANGAY DARAT, PINILI,ILOCOS NORTE

    WHEREAS, Barangay constituents often put all kind of waste into plastic bags and other containers;

    WHEREAS, there is a need for proper segregation of wastes to ensure the round-the-clock cleanliness of the
    barangay, wash out breeding area of mosquitoes and ensure the healthiness of its populace;

    WHEREAS, there is a need for the segregation of such wastes for proper garbage disposal and collection;

    NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED THAT;

    1. POLICY; This ordinance shall apply to all households and all business establishments to segregate their
    own garbage for proper disposal and collection;

    2. PENALTY; Violation of this ordinance shall be penalized with a corresponding fine of:

    First Offense: 2 hours COMMUNITY SERVICE


    Second offense: 300.00 AND 3 hours COMMUNITY SERVICE
    Third offense: 500.00 AND 5 hours COMMUNITY SERVICE

    3. EFFECTIVITY; This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.

    “AN ORDINANCE MANDATING ALL BARANGAY OFFICIALS AND CONSTITUENTS TO


    PARTICIPATE IN THE CLEAN- UP DRIVE ACTIVITY/ROAD CLEARING OPERATION OF THE
    BARANGAY TO BE HELD EVERY LAST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH AND ADHERENCE TO ANTI-
    BURNING LAW”

    AUTHOR: SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY OF BARANGAY DARAT, PINILI, ILOCOS NORTE

    WHEREAS,Clean –up Drive Activity/Road Clearing Operation must be undertaken in the barangay to maintain its
    cleanliness.

    WHEREAS, the sustainability of the activity will control the proliferation of sickness and diseases, thus, produces a
    healthy community;

    WHEREAS, burning of leaves and waste materials is prohibited under Republic Act 9003 or the Ecological Solid
    Waste Management Act. (Section 48, paragraph 3);

    WHEREAS, all concerned citizens are willing to provide a healthy barangay;

    NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED THAT;

    1. POLICY; All barangay officials and at least one member of every household shall participate in the clean-
    up drive activity/Road Clearing Operation of the barangay to be held every last Sunday of the month.;

    2. PENALTY;
    The following fines shall be imposed :

    First Offense: 2 HOURS COMMUNITY SERVICE


    Second offense: 300.00 AND 3 HOURS COMMUNITY SERVICE
    Third offense: 500.00 AND 5 HOURS COMMUNITY SERVICE
