Our Cups.
Stainless steel shell: Although stainless steel is energy intensive during
production, more than 50% of it is made from remelted scrap metal. This means
that less mining for new, raw materials is necessary. Reusing your bru cup for
multiple years, ensures that you're making the Earth-friendly choice. If you do
one day decide to get rid of your cup, you can take it to your nearest scrap
metal facility for it to be melted down and made into something new.
Our packaging.
FSC®: We always use FSC® certified paper and cardboard. FSC® certifies
forests all over the world to ensure they meet the highest environmental and
social standards.
Businesses like ours, that join 1%FTP, commit to giving 1% of gross sales each
year to approved nonprofit partners.
We're supporting the work of Bush Heritage Australia with our 1%.
Our action against global warming.
We are very fortunate that our current company structure and premises allow us
to keep our greenhouse gas emissions related to energy use and transport very
low.
We are currently in the process of doing a Life Cycle Analysis with
ClimatePartner which will be available for our new bru Travel cups. This will
highlight where we can reduce our impact on the environment and how we can
offset what we can't reduce to make our cups CARBON NEUTRAL
