    Week 1: From 07th June 2023 To 13th June 2023

    Day Activities / Task Performed

    A foundation in Java & knowledge of tools used in Java project work and advanced
    Java techniques. An introduction to the software tools such as Apache NetBeans and
    1 the process of installing them.

    2 A foundational overview of Object-Oriented Programming, including Java features.

    In-depth explanation of variables and operators and how they are used in Java
    3 programs.

    The concept of constructors, method overloading, and method overriding were


    introduced. In addition, concepts such as Exception-Handling in Java were covered,
    including the use of Try-Catch blocks, finally keyword, and different types of
    4 exceptions.

    Various types of Java classes were taught using the File-Handling concept of Java. All
    5 the studies we learned were applied to the building of a minor Java program.

    Weekly Summarization of above activities /tasks: -

    A foundation in Java & knowledge of tools used in Java project work and advanced Java
    techniques and installing the software & tools from building the project. OOP concepts were
    covered including the Java features. Java variables & operators were taught also the concept of
    Constructor & Method overloading & overriding were covered briefly. Exception Handling was
    cover in-depth. File-Handling in Java was taught and all this knowledge was applied on
    developing minor Java programs.

    Week 2: From 14th June 2023 To 20th June 2023

    Introduction to Collection Framework in Java. In that, Heap, Arrays/Array Lists,


    1 HashMap, LinkedLists.

    Continuation of Collection Framework. More about Queues, Hash Sets, Vectors.


    Developed Java programs using this framework. Using various methods of this classes
    2 for performing various operations on the data.

    Introduction to Swing GUI in Java. JComponents like JLabel, JTextFeild,


    3 JPasswordFeild, JRadioButton, JFrames, JPanels, JButtons.

    Designing Swing GUI with help of Apache Netbeans. Adding EventListners to


    JButtons. Prompting message box on validating the correct operations. Calling the
    4 another JForm on performing a certain event.
    Introduction to JDBC. Installing MySQL and Java MySQL-connector. Configuring
    5 MySQL setting up “root” user and setting up password.

    Weekly Summarization of above activities / tasks:-

    Introduction to Collection Framework in Java, learning about Arrays & Array Lists, LinkedList,
    Queues, Vectors, etc. Learnt about Swing UI in Java, learnt Swing components. Designed various
    types form using these components, added Event Listeners to the JButtons, validating the user
    inputted email, calling a JForm after a certain event occurs. Last day, Introduction to JDBC.
    Installing MySQL and setting it up with root users and passwords.
