    Tenses

    Fill in the blanks.

    RULES:

    PRESENT PROGRESSIVE:

    - Used for an action that is progressive at the time of speaking.


    - Eg.We are learning English.

    PRESENT PERFECT:

    to express an action that has been recently completed.

    Eg.She has finished her work.

    PRESENT PERFECT PROGRESSIVE:

    To express an which began some time in the past and is still continuing.

    PAST TENSE

    1.SIMPLE PAST:

    To indicate an action that was completed in the past.

    Eg.She met us two days ago.


    2.PAST PROGRESSIVE:

    To express a state or an action that was continuing at a certain point of time


    in the past.

    Eg.He was reading a novel when I reached.

    3.PAST PERFECT:

    For an action that had been completed before another action began in the
    past.

    Eg.I had done my work before he came.

    4.PAST PERFECT PROGRESSIVE

    To describe an action in the past that had begun and had been going on for
    sometime before another action took place in the past.

    Eg.She had been dancing for half an hour when we reached there.
