Introduction

The purpose of fertilizers is to increase agricultural output and growth. Its essence in our everyday
lives is significant given that the food demand continuously grows with other intervening variables like;
climate change, land degradation, and global warming increasing the dependence on synthetic fertilizers.
Although synthetic fertilizers are great help in supplying essential plant nutrients, synthetic fertilizers are
known to have been linked to soil degradation which is why the group chose an organic fertilizer.
Moringa oleifera is an economically important plant native to South Asia. It contains proteins,
vitamins, and minerals, making it useful to fight malnutrition. It has been used in various ways, but there is
no scientific evidence to support these uses. Moringa leaf extract can be used to accelerate plant growth
because it contains zeatin, cytokinin, ascorbate, phenolic, and minerals such as Calcium, Potassium, and
Iron.
Tomato is an edible berry of the Solanum Lycopersicum plant, a member of the nightshade family
(Solanaceae) and the Solanum genus. It is one of the most consumed and cultivated solanaceous plant
species for its use as a basic ingredient in raw, cooked, or processed foods. It is native to parts of Bolivia,
Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, and is proven to be nutritionally important due to its healthy
components like vitamins, carotenoids, and phenolic compounds. It also has a range of physiological
properties, such as anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.
The researchers’ goal is to figure out how they can improve a plant’s growth and health without
using synthetic fertilizers. An eco-friendly substitute for synthetic fertilizers is what this study intends to
offer.
This study was intended to help students to; make future research easy, for farmers; providing
better quality and faster growth rate for crops, for commoners; helps to keep plants at home healthy
without possibly damaging the soil, for improved soil health; replenishing depleted soil nutrients, for
environmental protection; as organic fertilizers are better to use than synthetic fertilizers containing
chemicals.

Agriculture has utilized the liquid produced from moringa (Moringa oleifera Lam.) leaf extract to
boost the growth and productivity of numerous crops. The high concentration of minerals, vitamins,
proteins, carbohydrates, fiber, phenolics, and free proline found in moringa leaf extract (MLE) is thought to
be the reason for the substance’s effectiveness.

Organic fertilizers are a type of fertilizer made from natural materials that provide plants with the
nutrients they need to grow. According to a study by R. O. Magdoff and H. A. Van Es, organic fertilizers
are a sustainable and effective way to improve soil fertility and crop yields (Magdoff & Van Es, 2009)
There are many types of organic fertilizers available, including compost, manure, bone meal,
blood meal, fish emulsion, seaweed, and green manure. Each type of organic fertilizer has unique nutrient
compositions and benefits for plant growth (Magdoff & Van Es, 2009). (source: Gómez-Borja, M. A.,

The tomato plant is an herbaceous, sprawling vine that can grow up to 10 feet in length. The fruit
of the tomato plant is usually round or oblong and can range in size from a small cherry tomato to a large
beefsteak tomato. The color of the fruit can vary from red to yellow, green, and even purple, depending on
the variety. (source: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/foods/tomatoes)
