STEPS IN HWs 2 on RATIO ANALYSIS The ratio analysis requires two steps as follows: 1] Calculation of ratio (Marks-02) 2] Comparing the ratio with other companies of the same industry. (Marks-06) Types of Comparison:
1. Cross Section Analysis 2. Time Series Analysis 3. Combined Analysis
1. Cross section/inter-firm analysis: Student will compare the ratios of the four firms of the same industry.
2 Time series analysis: Student will evaluate the performance of the company over a period of time. e.g for last 5 years 3 Combined analyses: A trend of ratio of a firm compared with the trend of the ratio of the other firms and Industry.
