Investigatory project for 12th:


1) To study exothermic reaction.( calcium oxide in water, dissolution of copper sulphate)
2) Determination of contents in cold drinks(sugar and carbon di oxide in any 2 samples)
3) To study the presence of oxalate ions in guava fruit at different stages of ripening.
4) To find common food adultrants in oil and turmeric powder.
5) To find common food adultrants in pepper and chilli powder.
6) To find common food adultrants in sugar and butter.
7) To study of effect of potassium bisulphate as food preservative under various conditions.
8) To study the process of crystallization (alum and copper sulphate)
9) To study effect of acids on teeth. (oxalic acid , Dilute Hydrochloric acid)
10) To find lactose percentage in whole milk and powder milk
11) To check the ions present in toothpaste (calcium, chloride)
12) To use paper chromatography to sperate dyes ( blue ink, beet juice)
13) To study process of esterification.
14) To prepare potash alum
15) To determine vitamin C in fruit juices (lemon , amla )
16) To study effect of sodium carbonate on the foaming capacity of a soap (washing soap, bath

Guidelines to write project:

1) Students will be performing the project in lab during practical sessions.


2) You can choose any one project from above list.
3) Prepare basic framework of project as a soft copy in above given format.
4) Support your project with relevant diagram, reaction etc.
5) Format for certificate, acknowledgment will be given by school as a soft copy.
6) Student must read the project properly before coming for practical.
7) After performing the project you will paste the evidence ( in the form of photograph
etc) in your project and then take print of it and submit in spiral binded form.
