On a pleasant day, a man walks in. He was none other than the food inspector...

Inspector: "I want two dosa and a chicken curry"

Albert: "Please get yourself seated, sir...Your food will be ready soon"

He ordered some food at the counter where Albert was sitting and sat at the nearby table for his
food. He quietly examined the shop and noted the things that were out of order and shabby. Such to
his astonishment it was a very young girl who served the food.

Inspector: "What is your name darling?"

Sara: "Sara"

Inspector: "Thank you for serving me the food"

Sara: "You are welcome, Sir."

(Sara leaves the table)

Inspector thinks why such a small girl is forced to do this...

Scene 3 (Narrator: Sara/Maria)

(After finishing the food, he goes to the counter and askes Albert...,

Noel: "Is the child who is serving the dishes your daughter?"

Albert: " Yes, she is...Why??"

Noel: "Shouldn't she be in school right now? Why is she here serving the dishes??"

Albert: "That's because there is no school nearby. There is 1 in the city but it's far from here and, we
cannot afford for her studies"

Maria: "Moreover, even if she studies, she won't reach far. So, it's better for her to serve the dishes
and learn to be a good housewife"
(Sara starts crying after listening to what her parents said but wipes off her tears and continues to
serve the dishes)

Scene 4 (Narrator: Maria)

(Seeing Sara cry, the inspector felt his heart heavy he had seen many kids in these situations.)

Noel: I understand that you are in doubt of what education will offer you, but every child deserves a
chance to learn. Is there any way I can help? I can help enrol her in a school.

Albert: I don't know what to say. We always thought we were doing this for Sara...

Maria: No, we have never been doing this for Sara. If we were, we would have sent her to school and
let her learn. My parents never gave me a chance. I want to give Sara everything I haven't got.

Albert: But what of the costs we can't afford the fees, the books, the uniform...

Noel: Don't worry, NGO has services that can offer children basic education and enrol them in
scholarship programs.

Maria: Sara deserves this chance...God has brought you to us, good sir.
