Background:

• Immigration formalities for all other Stena Forth personnel are handled by the Magic Agent
• All suppliers are to make their own arrangements for documentation at their own cost.
• If any assistance or inquiries are required regarding access to Airport of Embarkation,
Shell Aviation Coordinator can provide guidance if necessary.
• Any non-conformance to these requirements may result in passengers not being permitted
to join the rig.

Documentation required by All Passengers Travelling to the DS12:


Requirements for Egyptians:

• VALID ID Copy.
• Coast Guard Permit. (Valid for 3 Months)
• Military Service Certificate. (Submitted only once)

Requirements for EXPATS:

• VALID Passport Copy/ Residency – Entry Stamp.


• G26 Permit.
• Work Permit (If applicable)
Passengers are to wear appropriate clothing for the ambient conditions. No tank tops,
sleeveless shirts, shorts, open toed shoes, or sandals. If uncertain of allowed clothing, please
check with the aviation team.
Hats or head scarves of any type are not permitted.

Applicability
• These instructions apply to baggage / company material loading for Shell Helicopter
Operation in Egypt.
Requirements
• Ensure all baggage handlers are aware of these Instructions.
• All company material must be weighed, manifested and packed in accordance with the
guidance for packing requirements in sections 3 & 4 below.
• The Aircraft Tail Baggage Compartment is the Primary Baggage Compartment.

• Maximum dimension for any item in the Helicopter Baggage Compartment is:
L=115 cm X W=85 cm X H=55 cm
• Total Baggage Allowance 15 kg / 25 lb per passenger.
• Each bag shall not to exceed 10 kg / 22 lb H L
• Baggage must attain proper integrity.
• Dangerous Goods that are identified by the current IATA Regulations W

are not allowed on any of PAS’ flights, indicated in section 14 of the MSDS.
• Weight: The Maximum Weight for any item should not exceed 27 kg (59 lb)
• Wet Company material: Shipment containing liquids or which, by their nature, may produce
liquids and which are not subject to Dangerous Goods regulations, must be placed in
watertight containers that will be able to withstand the variations in atmospheric pressure
and temperature encountered during flight without rupture or leakage, and shall be enclosed
in a secondary outer rigid container.
• Content: When shipping any chemical substance, A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) must
be securely attached to the outside of the company material container to be easily accessible
to company material handlers after it has been signed by the shipper. eg: Mud samples,
cement samples, Cutting samples … etc.
• Please refer to below table for “Regulated Items on PAS flights”
• Company material shall be appropriately packed and secured / fastened inside the container
to withstand any shocks or impacts that may normally be encountered during transport and
to constrain its movement inside the container.
• All Baggage / Company material must not have any sharp or overhanging edges that may
cause an injury while handling or damage to the luggage compartment.
• Container must have handles to facilitate loading/offloading in the aircraft.
• Company material is to be clearly manifested using the agreed manifest format shown
below.
• Any documentation attached to the package (Manifest, MSDS or Labels) must be secured
properly using adhesive tape to prevent it from being blown off by the helicopter downwash.
Restrictions:

• Shipping company material or items via Helicopter is restricted to non-routine or urgent


company material only.
• All packing requirements must be followed accurately.
• Items are shipped only after being approved by the Aviation Team.
• Failure to meet any of the requirements will result in the package being refused.

From shore to offshore installations:

a. A notification from the shipper must be sent to the SENV Aviation Team with a copy to the
offshore Team on the below addresses the day before shipping to an offshore location.
Notification must include:
• A MSDS when shipping any non-Dangerous Goods chemicals or materials.
• A detailed manifest filled out in the agreed format shown below.
• A picture of the package and its contents.
b. Offshore Drilling Supervisor/ Offshore Logistic Coordinator confirms the operational need for
the company material to be shipped by helicopter.
c. Aviation Team reviews the shipment and provides the technical approval.
d. Aviation team to forward on requirements to the Aviation Service Provider and revert with
confirmation.
e. Shipper attaches the signed manifest and the MSDS (when applicable) to the package.
f. Package to be delivered to the airport of embarkation at the published check in time of the day.
g. Package must pass by airport security screening and arrives to the PAS check in counter.
h. No assistance will be provided at the airport to transfer the package to the check in counter.
i. “Company Material Handling Form” PAS-GO-036 shall be filled out by the Aviation Service
Provider dispatcher and a copy will be attached to the Package.

From Offshore installations to shore:

a. A Notification must be sent to the SENV Aviation Team the day before shipping. Notification
must include:
• A MSDS when shipping any non-Dangerous Goods chemicals or materials
• A detailed manifest filled out in the agreed format shown below.
• A picture of the package and its contents.
b. Offshore Drilling Supervisor/ Offshore Logistic Coordinator confirms the operational need for
the company material to be shipped by helicopter.
c. Aviation Team reviews the shipment and provides the technical approval.
d. Aviation team to forward on requirements to Aviation Service Provider and revert with
confirmation.
e. Before loading, Certified HLO* shall Fill up and sign a copy of “Company Material Handling
Form” PAS-GO-036 to hand a Copy to the Pilot and attach a signed manifest and MSDS (when
applicable) sheet to the package
