C. Review

-Okay class I will discuss to you another -its about a rock cycle ma’am!

In Science which is about a rocks.
But before we start, what we had tackle
yesterday?

-A rocks cycle, so what is rocks again? -rock is solid collection of mineral grains that
grow or become cemented together.

-Okay very good! Rocks are used for many


purposes.

-Now let me introduce to you another topic in
science about the 3 types of rocks, so you
have to listen carefully okay?

THE 3 TYPES OF ROCKS

Igneous rocks- are composed of melted rock


that hardens and cools.
Examples: Granite, Scoria, Pumice etc...

Sedimentary- They are formed from material


that is settled into layers. The layers are
squeezed until they harden into rock.
Examples: limestone, breccia and sandstone.

Metamorphic- These rocks are changed by


heat and pressure.
Examples: Slate and marble
