According to applicable IEC standard, Alpha Prime series is suitable for service in indoor conditions. Please consult us
for the use of the equipment in any special service conditions. For example, the equipment has to be re-evaluated for its
dielectric property when it is to be used at altitude higher than 1,000m where air density decreases.

At elevated ambient temperature, corresponding compensation has to be made during the design of busbars, branch
conductors and withdrawable parts, otherwise, the current carrying capacity of the switchgear may be reduced.
Installation of additional ventilation facilities may be helpful for heat dissipation inside the switchgear.
Be cautious with the use of the switchgear in special environment

The switchgear might be at risk of condensation when used in area where the
humidity is high and/or the temperature difference is excessive. In this case, the
manufacturer has to be consulted and appropriate protective measures (e.g.,
install electric heater) have to be taken in order to prevent condensate and
subsequent corrosion or other impact. The specific control of the heater will
depend on the project involved.
Application at high altitude

Alpha Prime P/V-12kV or lower voltage grade can be used in environment at
altitude up to 3,000 meters. For more details, please

Storage conditions
If the switchgear is to be stored for a prolonged period, it is advised that it

should be stored in its original package in a dry place away from direct sunlight
and rainwater in order to safeguard the quality of its functional units. The
maximum ambient temperature should not be higher than 40°C, the minimum
ambient temperature should be no lower than -15°C, and the daily average
temperature should be no higher than 35°C.

CABLE CONNECTION
The inlet for power cable is located at the bottom of the cable compartment of the switch cabinet. Remove its seal plate to
allow the cable into the cable compartment of the switch cabinet. The standard entry mode of the cable is bottom entry.
Top entry is also available at the user's request.
Cable installation procedure:

• Introduce the power cable, strip the cable to specified length
• On the seal ring, cut a round hole, the diameter of which should correspond to the diameter of the cable
• Prepare the cable connectors specified in the cable instruction manual and mount them to the cores of cables.
• Connect the cable connectors to cable connection bar.
• Connect cable earth
• Install the bottom plate, apply and secure the seal ring, and secure the cables to the cable rack on bottom plate with
cable clips.

Field assembly of switchgear shall be carried out only by properly trained personnel under the guidance and supervision of
qualified person in order to ensure proper installation sequence and acceptable installation quality.
If such personnel are not available, the switchgear can also be installed by contracted qualified professionals under
the supervision of the person-in-charge.
Once the field installation begins, the installation of the switch compartment has to be completed in one go. It is required that
the switchgear should be installed luminaire(s) and power supply and that it can be locked. The switchgear should be
maintained dry and provided with ventilation facilities.
It is required that the basic framework and indoor ground of the transformer station should be subjected to accep- tance
inspection prior to installation. The installation height of indoor ceiling shall be such that the pressure relief flaps can move
smoothly and freely for making venting gaps.

General Information
Worldwide, the energy sector is currently undergoing a profound
change as a result of high levels of energy demand;
more distribution lines and advanced supervision systems are
required. Given the need for creating intelligent infrastructure
WOC80 is developed & designed to protect secondary
transformation and distribution centers of electricity grids, using
current functions. It is thought to work with a circuit breaker as
element to cut the power.
The protection functions can be enabled selectively by using both
the front panel and the communication program, allowing for
precise coordination with other equipment. WOC80 has 5 LEDs
which are user configurable. Front panel also has a 9 button
keypad and a 20x4 LCD display that provides application of
configurations to device easily.
With USB port in front panel and Ethernet port in rear panel,
device can be accessed through a PC. Apart from the overcurrent
