    Reaction paper on the research article intelligence profile: basis for senior

    highschool teaching and learning activities


    The researh article determines the intelligence profile of grade 12 students of Taytay
    Senior High School. According to Howard Gardner’s theory, there are different types
    of intelligence, namely; kinesthetic, existential, interpersonal, intrapersonal, logical,
    musical, naturalistic, verbal, and visual intelligence.

    Firstly, the methapor of the teacher being a gardener instead of a large-scale farmer is
    a very clever way to present the idea that students, or in this case, the plants have
    different structure so they have different needs to help them grow. The theory that
    there are multiple types of intelligence helps us understand why different people have
    different skills and we should not disregard someone just because he is not “school
    smart”

    The new educational system that was brought by the Republic Act No. 10533
    extended 2 educational years for basic education system but helps students to find
    their expertise or the type of intelligence they posses to help ensure that they get
    succesful college education, this is definitely true and agreeable because the extra 2
    years really did help students maximize their intelligence and be more prepared in
    their college education.

    Every student has a different kind of intelligence. A student has different types of
    skills in how they handle their studies. Through this theory, teachers can come up
    with ideas on how to handle the students and make a technique that may help them
    teach the student so that he or she can learn what he or she wants to learn. This theory
    can also help the students, not just the teachers. It helps and gives the students the
    opportunity to learn and understand the lesson because of the method that suits them.
    This theory gives a teacher the capability to understand the different kinds of
    intelligence that a student has so that he or she can use a different kind of method to
    teach the student that is suitable for the student's intelligence in learning.

    In my opinion, the way the author did the research question was good because, it
    states the questions that determined the intelligence profile of the students. He
    segregated each strand for us to determine which is the most outstanding out of the 5
    strands. In this way it is easy for us to see the problems that were solved in the
    research. The researcher did a good job in making this research question as it is easy
    to understand.

    I see that the researcher did an excellent work on forming the research method. It
    shows the importance of the method used on the research. If the method is not
    appropriate to the research then the research would be futile. Thus, the research
    method used to study intelligence profiles is a crucial aspect of understanding how
    different individuals exhibit varying levels of cognitive abilities However, it is
    important to note that these tests have limitations and should not be used as the sole
    determinant of a person's intelligence.

    In conclusion, the research article is really informative and insighful about how
    diferrent people have different intelligence and how these different intelligence need
    different types of teaching and learning to ensure that students can get they maximum
    potential
