Course Educational Objectives :
To understand the principles of network management, different standards
and protocols used in managing complex networks. To understand the
Automation of network management operations and making use of readily
available network management systems.
Course Outcomes :
After the completion of course, the student will able to
✤ Acquire the knowledge about network management standards (OSI
and TCP/IP)
✤ Acquire the knowledge about various network management tools
and the skill to use them in monitoring a network
✤ Analise the challenges faced by Network managers
✤ Evaluate various commercial network management systems and
open network management systems.
✤ Analise and interpret the data provided by an NMS and take suitable
actions.
