The maximum viscosity specified in the data sheets refers to the indicated switching times.
Higher viscosities can be switched, but increase the switching time.

Flow rate
General:
The Kv value corresponds to the water flow rate through a valve
(in m3/h) at a pressure differential of 1 bar (exactly 0.98 bar) and
a water temperature of 5 – 30 °C. Depending on the valve size
it is often stated in l/min.
Fluids:
For fluids the minimum required Kv value for a valve is determined
from the operating data required for the application based on the
following equation, if the pressure loss is between 0.35 and 1 bar:
Kv = Q .
√1 bar .
∆p
ρ

Kv = Q .

Kv = Flow coefficient
Conversion factors: Q = Volume flow rate
Kv = 0.86 . cv ∆p = Pressure differential
(inlet pressure – outlet pressure)
Kv = 1,078 . QNn ρ = Density of the fluid
cv = Volume flow in USgal/min of water
QNn = Volume flow in l/min of air
