he saw a pitcher in a garden. The water was very low in it. His beak could not reach it. He put
some stones into the pitcher. The water rose up. He drank it and flew away.
Moral: Try try again.

2. A Greedy Dog (‫)اکیلیچلاتک‬


Once a dog was very hungry. He went here and there in search of food but in vain. At last, he
stole a piece of meat from a butcher’s shop and ran away. He reached at a stream. He saw
his reflection in the water. He thought it another dog with a piece of meat. He was greedy.
He opened his mouth to get that piece. His own piece of meat fell into the water.
Moral: Greed is a curse.

Once a fox was very hungry. She went here and there in search of food but in vain. At last,
she saw a bunch of grapes in a garden. She wanted to eat them. She jumped again and again
to eat them but failed. At last, she got tired. She went away saying,
“The grapes are sour”.

Once a farmer had a hen. It laid a golden egg daily. The farmer was greedy. One day he killed
the hen to get all the eggs. He was surprised to find no egg.

them a bundle of sticks. He asked them to break it. They tried but could not break it. Then he
asked them to untie the bundle and break the sticks one by one. They broke the sticks easily.
At this the farmer advised them to be united like the bundle of sticks.
Moral: Union is strength.

6. The Lion And The Mouse (‫)یشاوروچاہ‬


Once a lion was sleeping under a tree. A mouse climbed on it. The lion woke up. It caught the
mouse. The mouse requested for mercy. The lion released it. After some days, the lion was
caught in a net. It roared. The mouse came there. It cut the net with its sharp teeth. Soon the
lion was free and thanked the mouse.
Moral: Do good, have good.

Once a bee fell into the water. A dove saw this. She dropped a leaf near the bee. The bee
climbed the leaf and flew away. After some days, a hunter came there in the forest. He
