The College of Teacher Education firmly believes that teachers constitute the foremost vital resource in the nation's teaching-learning force. As such, they ought to be imbued with the standards, goals and conventions of Philippine life and culture and ought to be equipped not only with the necessary pedagogical skills but also with adequate and updated knowledge in their field in line with the school’s goal of providing relevant and significant education through holistic education.
At present, the program only offers two curricula, the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) and Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) with specializations in English and Mathematics only.

Purposes and Objectives of the College of Teacher Education
This section presents the purposes and objectives of the College of Teacher Education anchored with the school’s vision and mission statements. The purposes and objectives are as follows:
COLLEGE OF TEACHER EDUCATION (CTE)
The College of Teacher Education envisions the integral development of students to become teachers adequately equipped with relevant knowledge, practical skills and Christian values which they would eventually transmit for the transformation of personal life of society.
Specifically, it aims to:
1. recognize that teaching profession is a mission for service; 2. possess the needed skills (4C’s – Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration and Creativity) to teach in the 21st Century classrooms; 3. demonstrate competence in the conduct of research work and apply findings to help others; and 4. promote learning relevant to the needs of the time.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES The minimum standards for BSED and BEED degree programs are expressed in the following set of learning outcomes.
1. Common to the Discipline (Teacher Education)
a. Articulate the rootedness of education in philosophical, socio-cultural, historical, psychological, and political contexts b. Facilitate learning using a wide range to teaching methodologies and delivery modes appropriate to specific learners and their environments c. Develop innovative curricula, instructional plans, teaching approaches, and resources for diverse learners d. Apply skills in the development and utilization of ICT to promote quality, relevant, and sustainable educational practices e. Demonstrate a variety thinking skills in planning, monitoring, assessing, and reporting learning processes and outcomes f. Practice professional and ethical teaching standards sensitive to the local, national, and global realties g. Pursue lifelong learning for personal and professional growth through varied experiential and field-based opportunities.
2. Common to SFCians h. Exhibit competence and character through their ideals, beliefs and dedicated service.
3. Specific to a Sub-Discipline and Major
