with some having produced stretching environmental and carbon targets. Areas of particular concern in
Cambridgeshire include:

 Energy efficiency and renewable energy generation – in the context of your own business
premises and operations
 Carbon reduction
 Waste management and recycling
 Product sourcing and selection
 Sustainable transport
 Adaptation to climate change

Please confirm whether you have an Environmental Policy/Strategy, and how you will monitor your
activities to ensure compliance with your policy/strategy. Please highlight any areas where your
organisation is moving beyond compliance with legislation in this regard.

We at Opergy recognise the importance of ethical environmental conduct and are dedicated to reducing our environmental
footprint so that we may contribute to the government's goal of achieving Net Zero by 2050.

Energy efficiency and renewable energy generation

Energy efficiency and renewable power is essential to our business. They reduce expenses, practise environmental
responsibility, increase dependability, conform to rules, and motivate staff. By innovating in this field, we obtain a
competitive advantage, guard against fluctuations in energy prices, and exhibit long-term investment vision. It helps us
achieve our sustainable objectives. By lowering our carbon footprint, we aid in the fight against global warming and build a
more sustainable future for our company. As a part of Opergy Group, Net Zero East

Carbon reduction

We are dedicated to tracking and controlling our company's carbon emissions at scopes 1, 2, and 3. We are in the process of
re-establishing our carbon baseline emissions in accordance with GHG protocol procedures since our most recent office
relocation. In order to achieve net zero across the Opergy Group of Companies by 2050, in accordance with national criteria,
we are also upgrading our current decarbonization plan, which specifies the vital steps we will take in the short, medium, and
long term. Wherever possible, we strive to go beyond this goal, but sticking to this deadline will enable us to continually
decrease our per-person emissions while simultaneously accomplishing our aspirations for business expansion.

Waste management and recycling

To reduce waste production and increase recycling in our operations, effective water management and recycling practises are
crucial. We can reduce water use and the amount of wastewater produced by putting in place water-efficient technologies
and procedures. To make sure that materials are disposed of responsibly, we utilise a waste segregation system. We can
contribute to a greener future, save valuable resources, and play a crucial part in encouraging environmental stewardship
within our company and community by using these sustainable techniques.

Product sourcing and selection

We are dedicated to acquiring goods and components that adhere to strict environmental requirements. When choosing
suppliers, we take into account aspects like recycled content, resource efficiency, and eco-label certifications. In order to
lower emissions associated to transportation, we also promote the use of items that are locally and sustainably produced.

Sustainable transport

We actively track and look for ways to reduce the transportation-related emissions that are associated with our company
operations. Travel for business is done as often as possible in a director-owned hybrid vehicle or by taking public transport.

We also advocate for environmentally friendly mobility options among our stakeholders and staff. This includes promoting
carpooling and cycling, which are established practises among our team members. We are launching out a salary
sacrifice scheme across the Opergy Group, during this fiscal year, that will help interested employees in buying an electric or
hybrid vehicle.

Adaptation to climate change

To achieve carbon net zero by 2050, businesses must adapt to climate change. It guarantees resilience in the face of extreme
weather, changed markets, and new laws. Integrating climate resilience ensures company continuity, strengthens our brand,
and promotes global sustainability initiatives.

Moving beyond Compliance

In addition to complying with existing legislation, we strive to go beyond regulatory requirements in the following ways:

 Innovation and Research: To create and put into practise cutting-edge environmental practises, we actively look for
innovative approaches and work with partners in the scientific community and the business community.
 Collaboration and Advocacy: We engage with alliances and collaborative initiatives within our sector and
neighbourhood communities to advance sustainability, exchange best practises, and push for stricter environmental
legislation.

Minimising Enviromental Impacts of Delivery

We believe that the environmental effects of service delivery should be reduced to a minimum for a project whose goals are
to assist businesses in understanding and reducing their GHG emissions. While we expect this work to have a minimal
environmental impact, we do expect impacts from the operation our office, buying any materials required for the project, and
some travel to attend local events and conduct site visits to some project beneficiaries for effective delivery.
We commit to minimise these effects to the greatest extent possible, particularly by using environmentally friendly public
transit whenever practicable.

As a service provider, we strive to set the bar high while minimising any negative effects on the environment. In order to
achieve totally carbon neutral service delivery, we pledge to measure and quantify the GHG emissions of our service
delivery and to pay for offset credits to offset this impact.
