• Fig.8. Place the two fronts onto the back panel
as shown, right sieas facing and stitch the shoul-
ders. Press.
• Roll the front edges as shown in fig.9. 1/4” onto
the wrong side and again 1/4” press. Stitch down
both fronts.
• Place sleeves onto shirt, center mark of sleeve at
shoulder onto the shoulder seam, right sides fac-
ing see fig.10. and stitch in place. Press.
• Place shirt inside out as shown in fig.11. and pin
under sleeves, down sides and around pockets.
• Stitch, pivoting at pocket corners. Stitch to stop
line shown on the pattern pieces.
• Clip pocket corners being careful not to clip the
stitches. Turn right side out and press.
• Fig.12. Place collar pieces right sides together
and stitch as shown in fig.12. Turn collar to right
side and push seam outward to smooth, press
flat. Top stitch collar 1/4” from the edge.
• Place the collar onto the neck edge of the gar-
ment as shown in fig.13. right sides facing. Stitch
collar in place. Place a strip of bias cut binding
over the collar piece as shown, and turn ends
to match width of the of the shirt/collar. Trim off
excess binding.
• Stitch binding. Press seam allowance upward
onto the binding, and press the raw edge of the
binding downward onto the strip 1/4”. Roll this
over the seam allowance and pin. Stitch binding
down.
• Bind sleeve cuffs as shown in fig.14. Pin keyhole
onto binding strip as shown. Complete binding
process.
• Using a srap of fabric cut a piece 1”x10”. Stitch
and turn this strip to form a finished piece for the
button loops. Another technique is to fold the Tina Givens Design
edges inward, and fold the piece in half then YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED this
topstitch down the strip. Cut this into 4 equal but- perfect sewing pattern by
