G8-W5-6 WS2 Simple Circuit

This document provides a worksheet on simple circuits for 8th grade science. It defines key electrical terms like circuit, current, conductors, insulators, resistors and batteries. It also distinguishes between series and parallel circuits. Students are tasked with matching terms to sentences to test their understanding of components that make up basic circuits and how electricity flows through different circuit types. The worksheet aims to familiarize students with basic circuitry concepts.

WORKSHEET 14: Simple Circuit

Name________________________________Year and Section___________________ Score____________________

Teacher______________________________ School___________________________________Date_____________
Objective: Identify the components of a simple circuit and familiarize some electrical terms
BIG IDEAS
 Electricity, phenomenon associated with stationary or moving electric charges. Electric charge is a fundamental
property of matter and is born by elementary particles. In electric Circuit the particle involved is the electron,
which carries a charge designated, by convention, as negative. Thus, the various manifestations of electricity are
the result of the accumulation or motion of numbers of electrons.
