Plate 7: Projection of Planes

Step 1: Assume the initial position.

Step 2: Consider surface inclination.
Step 3: Consider edge inclination.

1) A Regular Pentagon ABCDE of side 30mm is

inclined at 45 to VP. Its side AB is perpendicular to
HP. Draw the projection of the Pentagon.

2) A square ABCD of 50mm side has its corner A in

the H.P., its diagonal AC inclined at 30 to the H.P.
Draw its projections.
3) Draw the projections of a circle of 50mm diameter
resting in the HP on a point A on the
circumference, its plane inclined at 45 to the HP.

4) A Rectangular lamina of (50mm x 20mm) sides is

resting on HP on one of its smaller side and surface
inclined at 60 to the HP and one of its smaller side
is inclined at 30 to the VP. Draw its projections.

5)Draw the projections of a regular hexagon of

25mm side, having one of its sides in the HP and
inclined at 60 to the VP and its surface making an
angle of 45 with the HP.
