In many definitions we can describe the word paranormal as any thing or any activity that is beyond the limits of scientific explanation or possibilities. Source: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/definition The paranormal field is the most mysterious one. Including various phenomenon like the ghost who can communicate and haunt the living, the unbelievable power of the human mind and will, amazing lights (ghost lights) that appear from no where and many other things that science cannot explain at all. Besides the folk lore the important thing to discuss the subjects which contains super natural phenomenon. The main reason to get the knowledge of the paranormal is to get closer to the truth. History of Ghosts:
A ghost is the soul of a person. The term might be used for demons. Source: http://paranormal.about.com/mlibrary.htm But with time the concept has expanded to consider or believe in the ghosts of deceased animals. Another common belief about ghosts is that they were composed of a misty, airy, or subtle material. Source: http://www.studiesoftheparanormal.com/ The concept of a ghost is also known as a specter. It is based on the ancient idea that a person's spirit and his or her body are two separate things, and may continue to exist after the death of that person. Because of this idea, many societies began to use funeral rituals as a way of ensuring that the dead person's spirit would not return to "haunt" the living. PART - I Ghosts exist in every culture and in its folk lore even before the time when pyramids of Giza were built. The earliest reference to ghosts comes from the Bible and the Torah. The most important book which gives that reference is the First Book of Samuel 28: 7-19 in which a description has been given about the King soul who has the witch of Endor summon the spirit of Samuel. Later on the follower of Jesus also thought that he was a ghost when they saw him walking on the water but then Jesus convinced them that he is not a ghost as he did not rise after dead. It wasnt until the 5h Century B.C.E. that ghosts became haunting and frightening other creatures for good or evil purpose. It was considered that the spirit of diseased will come back from graves to haunt people. The ancient Romans believed that ghosts could take revenge from others. The spirit of diseased tries to carry out the curse before they could rest in peace. The most famous haunted house was described by Pliny the Younger in 50 A.D. He describes a house in Athens that was haunted by a ghost bound by chains. Source: http://questparanormalresearch.com/the-history-of-ghosts/
Part II The middle Ages Two categories of ghosts were famous in the middle ages: the souls of the dead or demons. The souls of the dead were said to return to complete some task, demons were only here to torture Source: Google Image 3 the living beings. The soul of the deceased would tell their purpose while a demon would disappear at the sound of the Holy Name. There are also the descriptions of spirits who were less solid and could move through walls. They were often described as pale, wearing torn clothes. The vast majority of sightings were male. Ghosts in the Middle Ages were more important than in later years. Source: Google Image 4 Source: http://questparanormalresearch.com/the-history-of-ghosts/ Part III The rebirth Ghosts took on a new dimension during this period. In this period it was considers that ghosts could returned back from grave to complete their unfinished tasks or commitment. As if one committed to marry his loved one then hell come back to marry her and her refusal would mean his soul would be damned for

eternity. Some other tales tell that the mourning of livings did not allow the dead to rest in peace. Source: http://questparanormalresearch.com/the history-of-ghosts/ Source: Google Image 5 Sightings of haunted armies after English Civil War battles were reported in modern sources. (source X files) Part IV The Modern Period In 1848, people from Hydesville, New York, claimed to have the ability to communicate with the dead. An increase in the popularity of all things, paranormal phenomenon came into existence. The ability to exorcise spirits of the dead has been part of religious practices for practitioners of ritual magic for centuries. Books with sketches of ghosts were also written in these days. Then ghost hunting and ghost photography also became very interesting and popular. Source: http://questparanormalresearch.com/the-history-of-ghosts/ Many folklores was also modified and different concepts of ghosts were also introduced. Source: Google Image 6
In the first century A. D., A Roman author Pliny the Younger has recorded the first famous ghost stories in his letters. Pliny (First century A.D.) reported that the soul of an old man with a long beard, rattling chains, was haunting his house in Athens. Another Greek writer also wrote some of the earliest stories which were considered as true. Centuries later, in 856 A.D., the first poltergeist which is a ghost who creates loud noises and disturbance or by throwing or falling thing things down was also reported in a farm house of on the banks of the River Rhine Germany. These poltergeists tortured the family, living there by throwing stones and starting fires in the house. The reason that people may be aware of ghosts or have a communication is just because ghosts attention is on the reality of physical world. There can be several reasons behind these intentions of ghosts to be attached with physical world. They might be unaware that they are dead so they are just staying close to their familiar surroundings. They might have some message to give to the people living in physical world and many more reasons can be there but that focus of attention is what brings them to our awareness and keeps them here. (Pennsylvania Paranormal Research Team) discovered Being able to detect the presence of
ghosts is like tuning to the right radio station by finding the correct frequency. Sensitivity of people can enable them to find the correct frequency or to interact with a ghost. Children, because of their general willingness to be open, much more likely can pass through many frequency or can interact with them. less sensitive people who do not believe in spirits will often ignore repeated attempts of ghosts to contact with them. They use to treat unexplained incidents as imagination or another rational explanation that can easily justify the happening of these incidences. Source: http://www.ghostlycast.com/2009/07/history-of-paranormal-research/ As Emery said In one class, if we asked if anyone had lived in a haunted house. When a 13 year old girl raised a hand, her mother looked worried. Their previous house had been haunted and all the things the daughter pointed out were things the mother remembered but had just ignored them all by giving a rational thought. She realized she had seen all the evidence of the ghost but at the time simply did not want to believe that ghosts existed. Source: http://www.studiesoftheparanormal.com/
Islam, as a whole, does not teach the existence of ghosts or reincarnation (concept of re birth), as many Muslims who believe in the Quran and Hadis do not mention any of these. The most widely accepted belief is that the spirit of a person remains in the grave until the end day of judgment came. However Islam teaches us about zars or spirits that typically possess women, causing sickness and marital suffering and jinn, that are neither ghosts or angles but they stay in an unseen- able position and these are created created before mankind, some being good, some being bad, and all created to worship God known as, ALLAH.
Page 5
Therefore it should be noted here that there is a sect, sufi who do believe in ghosts and spirits as well as in reincarnation. Source: http://www.angelsghosts.com/ghosts_islam
Regarding ghosts of the deceased peoples soul. Whether to convey a message or to take revenge has no basis in Islam. Source: http://thepurplejournal.wordpress.com/2008/08/08/islam-onghosts-and-visions/. Allah mentions in the Quran: And behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised. [Al Mu'minoon:100] Verily, you cannot make the dead hear and you cannot make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs and retreat. [An Naml: 80]
Which simply means that when a person dies his soul remains in the grave and a barrier is set up by Allah so that that a soul cannot return to the place of the living neither they sent to the heaven or hell at that time so how can we talk to them? There is only one case when the dead can hear. Source: http://www.angelsghosts.com/ghosts_islam . According to prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him After the deceased is placed in his grave and his companions turn to leave, he hears the shuffling of their feet as they walk away. Then there comes to him two angels. [related by al Bukhari and Muslim] This is a little control on the hearing of dead, which stops at the point when the two angels come to the dead for questioning him/her about his or her acts. (Nadia, 2008) said that now a question arises if the dead cant return from their graves as they do not possess the power due to the barriers then what are these visions that many people claim that they see for this there is also an explanation that Islam explains the area of the unseen which is the jinn. The jinn are creations of Allah that live in the world similar to us. Jinn are an Arabic word derived from the verb, Janna, which means to conceal or hide. We cannot physically have the vision of jinn. Source: http://www.angelsghosts.com/ghosts_islam And that is the reason that some of us even by having the reference of Quran deny the existence of jinn (Nadia, 2008). As for their origin it is mentioned that: Indeed, We have created man from dried clay of black smooth mud. And We have created the jinn before that from the smokeless flame of the fire. [Al Hijr 15:26-27]
Page 6
Another reference to their origin is that jinn were created by Allah and Allah requires them to worship him and nothing else than Allah: I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. [Al Dhariyat 51:56] However, jinn do possess some powers and abilities that distinguish them from us, which include taking on a different physical form, like that of a human, for instance. As we the humans also become disobedient of Allah similarly Some jinn, like us, violate the powers and capabilities given to them by Allah. One of the several ways that these jinn influence their powers is through visions. Source: http://www.angelsghosts.com/ghosts_islam Indeed, he (Iblis) and his tribe (jinn) watch you from a position where you cannot see them. [Al A'raf 7:27] (Nadia, 2008) said that people who dont believe in the Allahs creation jinn can be easily convinced that these are the souls of the deceased trying to tell us something. And this is exactly what the jinn who has violated and disobeyed Allah is trying to do that to lead us off track from our beliefs and the truth. By some other ways jinn can lead us to the Shirk is through fortune telling, black magic, whispering into our hearts, or trying to communicate with us.
But of course, not all jinn are mischievous. There are also those who worship Allah and recite the Quran. Because just like humans, jinn will also be held accountable for their deeds on the Day of Judgment. Source: http://www.angelsghosts.com/ghosts_islam Say (O Mohammad): It has been revealed to me that a group of jinn listened and said, Indeed, we have heard a marvelous Quran. It guides us unto righteousness so we have believed it, and we will never make partners with our Lord. [Al Jinn, 72:1-2] And among us (the jinn) there are the righteous folks and among us there are those that are far from that. [Al Jinn: 11] So can we say that there is a possibility that a religious jinn by appearing in front of us or by whispering in our thoughts, is trying to warn us from a possible danger because it is obvious that they possess super natural abilities? May be! . Source: http://thepurplejournal.wordpress.com/2008/08/08/islam-on-ghosts-and-visions/ There are several questions which cannot be answered rationally because as a Muslim believer we also believe that there are certain things which are beyond our capacity to understand. Nadia (2008) What I do know is that we should always be careful of what we see, hear, and believe, and have faith that only Allah can protect us against anything.
Page 7
Abilities of Jinn:
The things which create difference between jinn and the human are the powers and abilities of Jinni. Allah has given them these powers as a test (azmaish) for them. If they dominate others with them then they will be held accountable for that . When we get to know about their powers we can justify several mysteries which goes on around us. One of the powers of the Jinn, is that they are able to take on any physical form they like. Thus, they can appear as humans, animals trees and anything else. Source: http://www.islamawareness.net/Jinn/world.html Since last few years the interest in the subject of aliens and UFO's has become very popular. Programmes such as the X-files and the Outer limits have increased the popularity of the theory that aliens do exist. Many people have seen strange looking people all over the world. However they cant be consider as the proof of aliens existence. Source: Google Image 12

Source: http://www.ghostlycast.com/2009/07/ The ability to possess and take over the minds and bodies of other creatures is also a power which the Jinn been utilized greatly over the centuries. This concept has caught great attention but few people have the exact or correct knowledge about the concept of human possession. Source: http://www.islamawareness.net/Jinn/world.html Over the last decades this concept came in the entertainment industry and during 70s holly wood movies such as The Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby were used to educate people about possession but because these were largely influenced by Christianity, knowledge of the subject is still in complete. Source: http://ezinearticles.com/?Ghosts---Myth-and-Reality&id=2301696 Through Islam we can understand such a phenomena. We know as Muslims, that Jinni possesses people for many reasons. 1. Sometimes it is because the Jinn or its family has been hurt accidentally. 2. It could be because the Jinn have fallen in love with the person. 3. most of the time possession occurs because the Jinn are simply malicious and evil. For this reason we have been told by the Prophet (SAWS) not to stay or walk in those places where the Jinni reside, e.g graveyards, deserts, market places etc. We have also been ordered to recite the Qur'an frequently in our houses as Prophet (SAWS) said: "Indeed, the shaytan flees from the house in which Surah Al-Baqarah (the 2nd chapter of the Qur'an) is recited" There are still some people who have possessed by Jinn then the name of Allah has to be used in force out the Jinn. Our Prophet (SAWS) and his companions practiced many duas to exorcise the Jinn. All these duas appeal to Allah to help the possessed person. Many of the Muslim or non Muslim exorcists now a days try to force out the Jinn by appealing someone other than Allah. And by doing that if Jinn does leave, these people believe that their way was successful. However, this is a trick of the Jinn, as it knows that if it obeys the practioner, then jinn has succeeded in making him worship others besides Allah (Shirk). The Jinn often returns when the the practioner leaves, as it knows that nothing except the words of Allah can stop from evil powers. It is not only humans which are possessed, but also animals, trees and other objects. By doing this, the evil Jinn hope to make people worship others besides Allah. Source: http://www.islamawareness.net/Jinn/world.html
The Occult:
By using their powers of flying and invisibility, the Jinn are the chief element in dealing with supernatural influences or activities Voodoo doll, Black magic, Poltergeists, Witchcraft and other acts that can be explained through the world of the Jinn. Similarly the illusions and the ticks of magicians are also the part of it. Because the Jinn can cross huge distances over a seconds that is why their value to magicians are great. In return for helping them in their magic the Jinni often asks for the magicians to sell their souls to them and even to Iblis. Thus the magicians to take the Jinn and Iblis as lords other than Allah. Source: Google Image 14 In these days some of the tricks performed by magicians are without any doubt from the assistance of the Jinn. One of the most common activities associated with the Jinn, is fortune telling. Before the arrival of the Prophet (SAWS) fortune-tellers were very popular and demanded. These people would use their links from the Jinn to find out about the future. The Jinni would go to the lowest level of heaven and listen to the angels conversations between themselves about events of the future which they heard from Allah. The Jinni would then inform the fortune-tellers. That was the reason fortune tellers predictions were very accurate before the time of the Prophet (SAWS) but after that the heaven was completely guarded by angles and if any Jinn who tried to listen was attacked by meteors (shooting stars). Source: http://www.islamawareness.net/Jinn/world.html And We have guarded it (the heavens) from every accursed devil, except one who is able to snatch a hearing and he is pursued by a brightly burning flame[Surah Al-Hijr 15:18].
Sagan,C. said that They also talk of dark matter and dark energy and still they dont have any prove of such stuff and the thing that surprise him is that these scientists who believe in these unproven and bizarre theories, will often dismiss the possible existence of ghosts, the supernatural and the paranormal J. B. Rhine mentioned a theory of One theory is that geomagnetic fiend (evil person) can act on the temporal lobe* of the brain and cause many of the experiences associated with haunting. This theory was tested in so many ways but still there is prove of it. Other scientists attempt to link the start of haunting phenomenon with the increases in global geomagnetic activity. Some other theories related with the the poisoning infra sound (sound waves lower that 20 Hz) are also remained un proven. * The temporal lobes are located along the sides of the brain, and are involved in several important brain functions which include memory, language and speech, hearing, and some features of vision.
GHOST HUNTING:
The paranormal research phenomenon with the perspective of research is very difficult to conduct. Even if we consider that these phenomenon are actually seen still we face lots of difficulties to explain them by using existing rules or theory. Source:http://www.ghostlycast.com/2009/07/histo ry-of-paranormal-research/ As by definition these are the phenomenon that are beyond the norms by which we are familiar. Source:http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/definition
Skeptics often argue that they dont exist at all. Still different researchers have done a lot o research regarding the studies of paranormal. Source: http://www.openmindedskeptic.net/ Ghost hunting is also known as paranormal research has been around since the beginning of time. The belief in ghosts such as the souls of the deceased people is closely attached to the ancient concept of animism. In its most common sense animism is simply the belief in souls. In this general sense, animism is present in nearly all religions and it says that every living creature has soul in it self including human beings, animals, plants, rocks, etc. Source: http://www.ghostlycast.com/2009/07/history-of-paranormal-research/ Ghost stories from ancient times can be found in many different cultures. In many historical records, ghosts were thought to be deceased persons looking for revenge or imprisoned on earth for bad things they did during their life time which they have spent on earth. Most cultures have

ghost stories in their mythologies. From the Middle Ages ghosts are a major theme in literature. Source: http://www.yourdiscovery.com/paranormal/spirit_world/history/index.shtml Many scientists have put their efforts to prove the existence of ghosts. The application of the modern scientific standards to the study of ghosts began with the work of Edmund Gurney, Frederick William Henry Myers and Frank Podmore (1886). They were the most important people in the Society for Psychical Research in early years. Their motive was to provide evidence for human survival after death.
An other researcher and scientist who believed in life after death was Thomas Edison (18471931). Edison was considered as genius in that time. He invented the light bulb, phonograph, typewriter, electric motor, stock ticker, and 1,093 other patented inventions. One of his end life inventions for which he worked a lot to become a remarkable scientist was a secret project that was about the idea to enable the livings to see and communicate with the dead people. Edison believed that the soul was made up of something, called life units. These microscopic particles or life units can be rearranged into any form. They keep full memory and personality and they were everlasting. Edisons machine would be able to detect these life units in the environment and allow living individuals to communicate with the dead persons. He has worked for many years to make it work but he died before it was finished. People of that time and even the scientists thought that if Edison had a little more time and have completed the project then we might be living in a different world today. Another researcher Charles Fort (1874 1932) is considered to be the best known collector of paranormal stories. Fort is said to have the collection of almost 40,000 notes on unexplained phenomena. And it is believed that there were no doubts in most of them. Source: Google Image 17 These notes are the part of his book named as, The orthodox conventionality of Science. These notes consist of all the unexplained or odd events which were then reported in magazines and in the respected newspapers such as The Times and respected scientific journals such as Nature and Science. Paranormal photography:
It is discovered that the first "ghost photo" was taken in 1860 by W. Campbell in New Jersey. The photo which was taken was of an empty chair. Butwhen the photo was developed, the image of a small boy was discovered. However Campbell was never able to repeat this event and it is not well remembered by historians of the art. Source:http://www.paranormalencyclopedia.com/p/photography/
A year later in 1861, Boston engraver, William Mumler took his own photograph only to discover the image of a dead cousin in the photograph with him. A top photographer, William Black later on investigated his photographs and declared them to be authentic in nature. Mumler was able to produce several more photographs with ghostly images of individuals, some of the dead relatives and others as unknown people. One of Mumler's most famous works is the photograph of Mary Todd Lincoln with the ghost of her husband Abraham Lincoln. Despite enjoying some popularity at the time, these photos are now generally considered fakes. Mumler has the popularity for launching the spirit photography. And in the next few decades many people tried to take pictures by hoping to capture the image of ghosts in their pictures. Source: http://paranormal.about.com/od/ghostphotos/ig/Best-Ghost-Photos/ It is important to note two things about paranormal photography: 1. In the early eras the cameras had very long coverage time of almost up to one minute and for this object has to remain perfectly still. So it was so common for ghostly images to get appear in the mean time when subject has moved. 2. These spirit photographs were sold as unique entertainment in America in the late 19th Century. These photographs can be easily disguised with the original ones and they were also not considered as real. Source: http://www.mediacollege.com/photography/types/parano rmal/ Following in Mumler's footsteps, a number of other photographers sought to cash in on the spirit photography phenomenon, including Frederick Hudson (London) and E. Buguet (France). In 1891, Alfred Russell Wallace (one of the developers of the theory of evolution) voiced his opinion that spirit photography should be taken seriously. Source: Google Image 20

In the same year, one of the best-known ghost photos of all time was taken by Sybell Corbett at Combermere Abbey in Cheshire, England. The photo was of a library room, taken with an exposure of one hour. That room was always empty. And after taking the photo the image clearly showed a man sitting in a chair. Later on this man was identified by a relative as Lord Combermere, who had died in an accident five days earlier. Source: http://paranormal.about.com/od/ghostphotos/ig/Best-Ghost-Photos/ In 1911, James Coates published a book named as Photographing the Invisible. In this book he examined many cases of spirit photography. This book helped to boost paranormal photography and also brought the attention of a number of researchers. Another boost was given to spirit photography by an English scientist Sir William Crookes, who conducted research about various paranormal phenomena. He has concluded that among all the other things spirit photography was an incredible search. But it was also been done that many early photographers were shown to have used doubleexposure techniques and simple plate-swapping tricks. Source:http://www.paranormalencyclopedia.com/p/photography/ Then in the late 1800s, paranormal photography has been a controversial subject. Paranormal photography covers all the things which were there to capture the paranormal phenomenon on digital or film images. In most cases it involves ghosts , flying rods and other demons. There are two sources of paranormal photography: 1. Paranormal photographers, who intentionally seek physical evidence to proof that the phenomena such as ghosts exist. 2. Some other photographers who occasionally find some of the different or odd phenomenon which are then interpreted as paranormal Although paranormal photography is not an exact science and many people believe it but still it is considered as the genuine field of study. Mysterious images known as orbs appear in many photographs quite unexpectedly. Most of them easily be explained but some do not have the clearance these are so ambiguous. Source:http://paranormal.about.com/od/ghostphoto s/ig/Best-Ghost-Photos/ But as a matter of fact almost all photographic evidence is abrupt. There is no proof so they can be easily considered to be fake. No method exists

by which a photographic 'ghost' can be authenticated as to proof the existence of spirits or ghosts in real world. Even if we ignore it in this way still photographic evidence is no longer considered convincing in any courtroom in the civilized world.
Unreliable evidence of ghosts, just as with anything communicated by personal account, is subject to the integrity, fallibility, or sanity of the one relating the tale; it is second-hand information, and cannot be given any more credit than one would give to any third-party assertion without accompanying substantiation; you don't sit up all night with a shot gun when your child tells you there are monsters under their bed, regardless how much you trust the source, do you? Video evidence simply does not exist. Not even one piece of video evidence has ever been produced that leaves no ambiguity, there is always an explanation of the phenomenon uses in these videos.
Source: Google Image 22 Same as the photographic evidence the video evidence also has no legal credibility in this age in which even a child can edit a video with the help of softwares. Source: http://www.answers.com/main/science.jsp
Types of Haunting:
Residual Haunting The most common type of haunting is referred to as a residual haunting. In this type of haunting the ghost energy goes through a cycle of actions over and over again. It's like a video clip that repeats in a loop.
Intelligent Haunting The second type of haunting is known as the classic or intelligent haunting. In an Intelligent Haunting the spirit or ghost reveal an intelligence and an awareness of its surroundings. These ghosts have been known to communicate with the livings. Thuy remembers the stories of the tree ghosts of Vietnam. Her ancestors told her that the wandering spirits need a place to live around the countryside of Vietnam and they take up residence in the trees of the jungle. It is said that if any one cuts down a tree without asking permission, he will be cursed or will face bad luck. Usually the people of Vietnam will perform a ceremony asking the entities to leave a tree and to move onto another tree before cutting it down. Former Lieutenant Howard Pierce who recently went to Vietnam on vacation. He stopped by in the jungles of Bach Ma. He claims that he saw two pale spirits staring at him from one tree. As he approached the tree, the spirits vanished in front of his very eyes. It might be possible that Howard saw the tree ghosts of Vietnam.

Sarah (2011) told a story of her sightings of ghosts. She told that it was her job in the family to feed the dogs every night by going downstairs. She hated to do that because it was always dark and silent. One night she was down there and while bending over to put the feed down out of the corner of her eye she saw a huge black dog standing in the doorway. She looked up quickly but nothing was there. Her dogs were looking up at her with goofy looks and neither had moved at all. She got freaked out and quickly gave the dogs their food and ran back upstairs. She told her family what she had seen, but they just laughed, except for her sister. Later on that week, her sister and she were gone downstairs feeding the dogs together because she had dragged her sister down because she didnt want to be alone. At the time she was preparing their food she heard loud footsteps running up and down the stairs. At first she thought it was one of my parents coming down to give something to the dogs or get the washing. But she asked her sister and she also claimed to hear this all and saw no one. Her sister started freaking out and ran, so did she. She believed that it was any ghost there.

During that time he had heard a cabinet door open and shut then he heard a bunch open and shut over and over, but he was looking at the reflection and saw nothing moving. he jumped over the couch and ran into the kitchen to find nothing moving and the noise was stopped. Then he heard the door open and shut for approximately one minute and then everything was quite and in all the time nothing was sighted. But he was open to believe that it relates to some ghosts activity.

(Eckert, 2011) started his story with the background that he used to visit his grand aunts home who used to live down the street. His aunt and her daughter used to live alone there. She used to live there with her daughter she died later and About a month after her death he was at her house. his aunt was very depressed so he decided to let her get some sleep and go down into the basement for a little bit. The moment he entered the basement he experienced feelings of dread and felt very sick and ran upstairs thinking he was going to vomit but instantly he felt better. He was sitting in the living room around 10:00 p.m. When suddenly the room became very cold. he decided it was nothing and grabbed a cover. A few minutes later he began to hear whispering and thought it was his aunt so he called out "Pat is that you?" but no answer. he then stood up and followed the whispers which led him to the stairs leading to the basement. The sound was no longer whispers it was now yelling at him in some language he did not understand. he decided to ignore it and went back to the living room. The moment he sat down he saw a shadow move in the corner of the room. he turned around to see what had moved and he saw a dark shadowy outline of a man but with no face. This can clearly be considered as the sighting and hearing of ghosts.

Razia (2009) told the story that her mom told her that back when she was small girl in Bangladesh, her grandparents told her not to go into this forest which is close by where they live, her little sister (Razias aunty), and her mothers friends decided to go into the forest around maghrib time. When they were walking in the forest, on many tree branches they saw dead squirrels hung on them with a rope. Then they walked further, and they spotted an old man, who had a beard and was wearing a longi and kameez, he appeared to look like her moms grandfather. So they went closer towards that man, they saw that the old man was lying against the dirt on the ground. As they were coming closer, he began to rub his body around the dirt like mad and then all over his body there were eyes flashing and the old man turned into a bunch of eyes flashing and it was trying to chase them. So he mom, aunty and moms friends screamed and ran and they came out the forest and informed their grandparents. And they were totally sure that they have seen the Allahs creature called Jinn.

(Asha, 2009) She told that she remember this incident clearly because it happened a few months ago when she was in the masjid waiting for maghrib prayers. The women's section is on the second floor and females could be able to see if any brothers are there so she knew she was all alone in the masjid. Source: Google Image 28 She was reading her book when she smelled strong attar fragrance (perfume men usually use during Friday prayers) on her left and turned to see if anyone was coming up the stairs. she even checked the brothers' section to see if there was anyone and there wasn't anyone. she continued reading but this time she smelled attar fragrance on her right hand side. She turned to my left and the smell was gone.So basically, it was something went past her.

Anyway, Asha thought that perhaps it could be jinn inside the masjid so she just ignored the smell. It was not the scary incidence for her life instead that incident gave her a proof that there are Jinn who use to worship Allah.
Story: 4
Abdullah (2009) said that he has a radio in the kitchen that has a tape player, radio, and cd player. Usually we listen to cd Quran and there are times when his wife will listen some tablegh lectures. I didnt use to go to kitchen frequently but because his wife was out of country so it as obvious that he has to make meal and stuff for his children . so his schedule was get pray fajr then stays up and takes the children to school. Then one day, about three days after his wife left, he was hearing after fajr prayer Quran recitation from the radio. the radio does have an auto on feature. This was at that time 6:30am. He said Alhamdulillah, and left it alone. So every day it would play Quran after fajr prayer, and what he noticed that after a few days it became louder even he didnt touch the radio. Here is the absolute, part, his pc is in the office upstairs, with Azan software, when it makes Azan, you could only hear slightly from down stairs. he was cooking in the kitchen one day, while doing that he was listening to Quran. Asar prayer came time, but the radio was playing Quran as he couldn't hear it. All the sudden, the radio, paused by itself, and he heard the Azan from upstairs, then it continued to play the recitation. The pause was for the completion of the Azan. He said that he was already so sure about Allah creation which have been created to worship him as they are also responsible for their deed in the end of the day.
our people, we have heard a wonderful Recital (the Quran). It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein, and we shall never join (in worship) anything with our Lord (Allah). [alJinn 72:2]
Story: 2
It is stated by Imam Baihaqi in Dalail-e-Nubuwwat on the authority of Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Masood that the Prophet (SAWS) once, said to his companions in Makkah "Whosoever from amongst you desires to see the jinni, he should come to me tonight." Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Masood stated that nobody except him went that night. The Prophet (SAWS) took him with him to a high hill in Makkah. He drew a circle with his foot for Hazrat Abdullah and advised him to keep sitting within that circle. He sat within that circle, Prophet (SAWS) advanced ahead and then stood at a place. There, he started recitation of the Holy Quran. All of a sudden a big group of jinni encircled the Prophet (SAWS) and that group stood as a wall between me and the Prophet (SAWS) and he heard the jinni saying: "Who gives evidence that you are the Prophet." There was a tree nearby. The Prophet (SAWS) observed: "Will you accept my claim if this tree gives the evidence?" The jinni said: Yes, well accept it. On that, the Prophet (SAWS) called the tree. The tree came nearby and gave the evidence accordingly and all the jinni embraced Islam
Story:3
The well-known scholar Khateeb has stated on the authority of Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah who stated that Once, they were travelling with the Prophet (SAW). The Prophet was sitting under a tree for taking rest. All of a sudden, there came a snake near him, took his mouth near the hole of his ear. After sometime, the Prophet took his mouth near its ear and said something. On that, the snake vanished in such a way as if the earth had swallowed it. they went to the Prophet that they were very much frightened when he let it reach near your ear. The Prophet told that it was an animal and in fact, it was a jinn who had forgotten a few verses of such and such Surah and the jinni had sent it to enquire about the same verses. Because of your presence, he came changing its form to that of a snake and enquired about the verses accordingly. Source: from the book "The Miracles of the Prophet Muhammad" by Ahmed Saeed Dehalvi.

RECOMMENDATIONS: By researching all about the existence of ghosts which in the context of Christianity and catholids are the souls of diseased person, I would strongly recommend not o accept that because as a Muslim we believe that there is no concept of reincarnation or re birth neither there are any evidences of their existence even after great efforts of scientists and researchers. But at the same time we do believe in the existence of Jinn as by having a strong reference of Quran.
CONCLUSION Though there are many people who claim that they have personally seen the ghosts and also these civilized nations of Europe countries have taken photographic presentations of these creatures. Still there is no evidence of their presence or existence. However we have strong evidences by the way of verses and sunnah about the existence of Jinn. So by concluding this in the answer of the question is ghosts real? I would say there is no existence of spirits of diseased among livings but Yes, jinn do exist having good or evil intentions.
