Virtual Interview Best Practices: Day of Your Interview

Join your interview using MS Teams: Overview
Your Microsoft Teams meeting invitation has everything you need to join your virtual interview
To join your interview with both

audio and video capabilities, click
the links in this section of your invite.
The next page in this guide will show
how to join the interview on your
computer or phone using the Teams
app or your system’s browser.
If you are expected to have a video interview
but are having difficulties joining with the link,
you may use the dial in option below to notify
your interviewer(s).
To join your interview with audio capabilities

only, you may use the phone number and phone
conference ID in this section of your invite to dial
into the call.

Join your interview using MS Teams: Audio and Video
Please review the options below
Option 1: If you have the

Microsoft Teams app
Click the “Click here to join the meeting” link.
The MS Teams app will open, and you can
join as a guest or login to your personal Option 2: If you do not want to

Please note, these options are applicable for computers and smart phones.
Join your interview using MS Teams: Audio Only
Please review the options below
Option 1: Dial In Link

The audio only section of your invite has a dial in link, which
lists the conference phone number followed by two commas,
then a unique “Phone Conference ID”.
If you can access this link from your phone, clicking it will allow
your phone to dial into the meeting and enter the Phone
Conference ID automatically.
Option 2: Manual Dial In

If you cannot use the link to dial the phone number and Phone
Conference ID, you can enter the phone number on your phone
independently. When prompted, enter the Phone Conference ID.
If you need an alternative or local phone number, click the

“Find a local number” link to open a list of dial in numbers for
many locations.
