Introduction
Thank you for your purchase of Just NAVI™, a waterproof digital portable platform scale. Since this
weighing unit is a digital portable platform scale with water-proof and dust-proof design compliant with
the IP65*, you can use this unit for a wide range of commercial activities, for example at factories and
general stores and in the fishery, greengrocery and agricultural industries. In addition, the instrument
offers advanced functions such as the Easy Setup function using numeric keypad, which allows anyone
to easily input target weight for fixed-amount packing, as well as the “Multi-function,” which allows the
user to customize the settings according to the application.
Thoroughly read this operation manual to use Just NAVI™ in an optimum condition for a long time, and
make full use of it.
* IP is a protection class against solid foreign material and water. IP65 indicates a waterproof
performance that prevents—through normal use—the entry of any dust, free of any adverse effect
even upon direct exposure to a jet of water from any direction.

<How to attach>
There are two platform fixtures (on the right and left sides) on the back of the plate. Slide them outward.
With the platform fixtures slid outward, place the platform on the main unit of the instrument. At that time,
align the lug of the platform fixture with the groove on the main unit of the instrument.
Put the platform fixture back to the original position. If the platform is not properly mounted (see the figure
below), turning it clockwise or counterclockwise may cause a failure. To prevent any load from applying to the
platform, be sure to visually check the mounting condition of the platform. After confirming that the platform is
properly mounted, start weight measurement work.
<How to detach>
You can detach the platform using the reverse procedure to the above installation.
There are two platform fixtures (on the right and left sides) on the back of the plate. Slide the platform fixtures
outward; and detach the platform while holding the positions of the fixtures.

You can make the settings of the ranking function in units that are smaller than indication scale interval.
However, because the minimum setting value is 4 scale intervals, you need to set Rank 1 to a value
of at least 4 scale intervals.

The Ranking Combination function automatically determines the optimum weight ranges for each rank, based
on the specified number of ranks and the measurement results of samples.
• Setting the number of ranks to a larger value leads to a better combination accuracy, a higher yield rate, and
smaller variations. (You can set 3 to 9 ranks.)
• You can use the Ranking Combination function under the condition that items are normally distributed. Note
that you may not obtain the correct weight measurement values depending on a biased average value of the
unit weight, the variations in the unit weight, or the settings of the upper and lower limits.

function.

* A combination ratio (percentage of items that can be used for packing) is
displayed in the Main-display and expressed in percentages. This Alternately displayed
combination ratio is used only as a guide.
* The lower limit and the upper limit of one pack are automatically
calculated and alternately displayed on the Sub-display.
* To shrink the range between the upper and lower limits of one pack,
change the user parameter #168 to narrow the ranking range. However,
when the ranking range is narrowed, the above-mentioned combination
ratio gets worse and more items are determined to be outside of the Calculated upper limit
ranks. The ranking range is set to the largest (3) at default to reduce
the number of items outside the ranks.
If the setting fails, the system displays INF.09 and returns to the sample
weighing screen (). In such a case, the variations in the unit weight may
be too small. Select samples of various sizes if possible, and make the
setting again.

measurement.
* Long-pressing discards the weight measurement of the current
sample and returns to the sample size entry screen.
* When you are editing the program data already registered, press
without anything put on the instrument. Then the system keeps the
previous setting of sample weight measurement and proceeds to the
next step.

the number of items placed.
* While the unit weight is displayed during the selection and call of a program, the indicated unit weight is
rounded off to one tenth of the scale interval. Because–during actual calculation–the function uses a value
that is not yet rounded off, the measured weight is not always equal to [Indicated unit weight x Quantity].
