12 colors in the traditional color wheel - 3 primary colors (red, blue, yellow) - 3 secondary colors (purple, green, orange - 6 tertiary colors (red-purple, blue-purple, blue-green, yellow-green, yellow-orange, red-orange) Warm & Cool colors - Half warm colors (red-purple, red, red-orange, orange, yellow-orange, yellow) - Half cool colors (yellow-green, green, blue-green, blue, blue-purple, purple) Analogous Color Scheme - 3 or more colors that are all next to each other on the color wheel (ex: red, red-orange, orange, yellow-orange, yellow) Harmonizing Color Scheme - 2 colors that are next to each other on the color wheel (ex: green & bluegreen) Complementary Color Scheme - 2 colors that are directly across from each other on the color wheel (ex: red-purple & yellow-green) Split Complementary Color Scheme - 3 colors, first color and the two colors directly next to its complement (ex: blue, yellow-orange, red-orange)

Triadic Color Scheme - 3 colors equidistant from each other on the color wheel (ex: red, blue, yellow)

Color - Tone on Tone fabrics (1) - Color + White fabrics (2) - Muli-colored fabrics (3) make great focus fabrics --> Accents - Small Accents (4) - Large Accents (5) Scale (6) Pattern - Geometric (7) - Organic (8) Value/Saturation (9) Basics - Dots (10) - Stripes (11) - Solids (12) - Solid-alternatives (13) *Pay attention to all these details when choosing your fabrics! Try to find balance in pattern, value, scale, color, etc. *Keep your eyes open for great basics and alternative basics!
