Project Description : Lobo Water District (Lobo-WD) is a Category C water utility with CCC
No. 422. It is located in the southeastern part of the Province of
Batangas in the Island of Luzon. It is about 40 kilometers southeast
of Batangas City, the hub of commercial and industrial activities in
the prrovince; and the provincial capital. Presently, Lobo-WD serves
fifteen (15) barangays in the Municipality of Lobo and two (2)
adjacent barangays in Batangas City. It caters to 4,020 active service
connections as of December 2018. Lobo-WD has eight (8) well
sources and one (1) spring source. The combined average yield of all
the sources is 93.70 liters per second. Lobo-WD requested LWUA
for additional financial assistance through BOD Resolution No. 2019-
02 in the amount of Php25.00 M. The purpose of the financial
assistance is for the drilling of additional well sources to supplement
the existing sources and for the expansion of the existing water
supply system. The main components of the Program of Work
(POW) includes drilling of four (4) well sources; installation of
pumping and treatment facilities in each well source; construction of
a ground reservoir; entrenchment of pipelines and appurtenances;
installation of additional service connections and transportation
facility. Also included in the POW is purchase of four (4) parcels of
land for the proposed well sources.
