    Introduction to Islamic Studies Group Project DTE

    DTE, Down to Earth project is conducted every year for students in Foundation second semester in UTP. Students will be evaluated as part of the coursework. This group project is programmed outside of campus, aiming on charity work to the society, improvement in management skills among students, while tighten the bond relation among students, teachers, and society. Furthermore, the beauty of the religion may be discovered along the way. This project has visited hospital in Perak, rivers, orphans organization and several others for the past years. This year, our group has unanimous agreement to visit an orphanage called Bait-Almin in Parit, Perak Darul Ridzuan.

    About Bait-al amin

    Bait-alamin was developed in 3 OCTOBER 2005 as orphans and needy charity organization. It is located in Kampung Tengah Parit and contains of 3 dorms and small hall donated by society around. Including boys and girls from elementary to high school students, there are 42 students under the help of 3 generous volunteers who obtain allowances. The volunteers take care of many aspects such as cleanliness, organization and others. Religious education is being taught to the students while extra activities are moving on. Lack of love and attention sometimes lead to attitude problems and both physical and mental development. The orphanage seems to be in lack of accessories in daily life and more support from the society.
