     Add mentally two- to -three digit numbers using appropriates strategies.
     Relate the properties of addition and their applications to real-life situations.
    Transfer Goals: Students on their own and in the long run will be able to:
     Apply addition of whole numbers in budgeting family meal for one week.
    STAGES ACTIVITIES
    (Day 1)

    EXPLORE MOTIVATION
     Ask the learners about the things they do before going to school.
     After listening to their answers, say, “The order of events may differ for
    every one of you. You can either first brush your teeth or take a bath.
    Eventually, you will be ready to go to school. This is similar to our lesson
    for today.”
    (Day 1-2)

    DEEPEN 1. Tell the learners to identify the properties of the following illustrations.
    2. Call learners to answer through recitation. Then, ask them to write the
    addition sentences on their whiteboard and show it to the class.
